But the worst thing is because it's a Bond movie, they have to work the title into the script somewhere
So someone has to say the words "quantum of solace" and you're like "uuuuuugh"
I forget, when did they actually say it?
Some criminal organization was called Quantum and then there was something about them being cut off from the rest of the criminal underworld blah blah it was dumb as all hell.
In the original short story it referred to the smallest measure of comfort and compassion that you need to maintain a relationship with another human being, and what happens to your humanity when you lose that
In the movie, that small measure of humanity is something Bond is completely lacking right now, and it also allowed them to work in the name of the organization (because Quantum, you see, controls every tiny little thing at metaphorically speaking sub-atomic levels)
It's a fine title, it's just awkward because audiences don't know what words mean and God forbid they learn some new ones

we both thought it was bad, and my dad thought it was the worst Bond movie he saw
he was including Moonraker
we both heartily enjoyed Casino Royale when we got around to it, though
I ain't confused at all
I am quite sure that it is an awful name for a movie
oh my fuck
Hoorayyy
It better pick up the CR/QoS story though, the continuation of the plot between the two films was the best and totally made QoS better by proxy
Love me some Craig Bond films
And Ralph Fiennes.

I just don't remember when anyone actually said the phrase "quantum of solace" referring to its meaning of a small measure of peace
In the movie, that small measure of humanity is something Bond is completely lacking right now, and it also allowed them to work in the name of the organization (because Quantum, you see, controls every tiny little thing at metaphorically speaking sub-atomic levels)

edit: okay I won't deny that it was awkward
But my least favorite Bond title is Octopussy
It's fucking retarded and nothing will top it, for me
It's just silly

...nevermind
Uh-oh I accidentally deleted my signature. Uh-oh!!
...wait.
I'd pay money to see a movie where Scott Bakula ends up in the body of James Bond

Cumbersome Bond film titles work best when they are just vaguely descriptive code names

But that doesn't change it from being cumbersome, ridiculous and purple

She'd be getting ready for bed when the speaker and camera turn on, and there's Judi Dench in a negligee.
