Not stopped or pulled over: nothing routine. I always drive properly. A bit fast, perhaps, but always with consummate skill and a natural feel for the road that even cops recognize. Few people understand the psychology of dealing with a highway traffic cop. Your normal speeder will panic and immediately pull over to the side when he sees the big red light behind him . . . and then we will start apologizing, begging for mercy.

This is wrong. It arouses contempt in the cop-heart. The thing to do - when you're running along about a hundred or so and you suddenly find a red-flashing CHP-tracker on your trail - what you want to do then is accelerate. Never pull over with the first siren-howl. Mash it down and make the bastard chase you at speeds up to 120 all the way to the next exit. He will follow. But he won't know what to make of your blinker-signal that says you're about to turn right.

Now that right there is a mighty fine quote :^:

i thought that he meant a roundabout until i posted that quote

now i realize he meant this, which is badass as hell:

Well there's a difference between a good idea being made into a bad movie and a bad idea being made into a terrible movie.

Stuff like the "villain" not having any kind of disfigurement or abnormality was a good idea with their 'bad guy isn't always obvious' theme. Plus Bond going off the fucking chain for most of the film could've worked seeing as, in the CR continuity, he wasn't the awesome agent he is in all the others.

But they forgot that it was a Bond film. The series hasn't been popular for so long because they kept changing everything about Bond. Casino Royale worked because it was an evolution of Bond's character. QoS showed us a drunk Bond for the first time. That's worse than him decapitating a puppy.

    Good film, bad Bond film.

this is pretty much how i feel

i just think that in the grander narrative of the trilogy it will work better than just as a stand alone bond movie

but i'm just repeating myself now

since they have agents in MI6 i doubt that is their only major plan

but it also happens to be one that makes them incredible amounts of money while oppressing and entire country

pretty good start for an evil villain

    That's true, I guess.

Not that it's their only plan, but it all seems like a pretty convoluted way to make money, especially when the majority of your members are loaded anyway.

EDIT: As long as we're analyzing Bond plots, sunlight doesn't work that way, bullets don't do that, and Denise Richards would be a shit nuclear physicist.

    No.

It was about gaining information about the villain and using his own manipulation of stock prices to force him to stage a poker game to pay off his debts so he would lose and have to give up valuable information about his clients in exchange for asylum.
