THOR
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHBnrJowBZE
Directed by Oscar Award winner Kenneth Brannagh, Thor is the story of, well, Thor (Chris Hemsworth). A Norse God cast to Earth for his arrogance and reckless reignition of an ages-old war by his father Odin (Anthony Hopkins). On Earth, aided by Dr. Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) he seeks to reclaim his hammer Mjolnir, and with it his godly powers. Meanwhile, back home in Asgard his treacherous half-brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston) plots something sinister in Thor's absence.
It's already out in Australia and releases May 6th in the US.
CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JerVrbLldXw&
Directed by Joe Johnson (The Rocketeer) and set in the midst of World War 2, it follows Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) a scrawny underweight patriot whose only dream is to serve in the army, despite constant rejection from service. A group of military generals and scientists (Including Tommy Lee Jones, Stanley Tucci and Dominic Cooper as Howard Stark) accept him in an experimental program known as Project: Rebirth. Using a cocktail of chemicals and technology he is transformed into the world's first super-soldier but a Nazi assassin's attack on the head scientist makes him the first and last of his kind. Shipped overseas, he is used as a symbol against the Nazi forces such as the Red Skull (Hugo Weaving), head of the Reich's occult and superscience division: HYDRA.
It comes out July 27th.

There are also video games coming out for Thor and Captain America.
They do not look very good. I do not think The Avengers is not under Marvel's contract with Sega so maybe it will get a good video game adaptation.
There is an ARG type thingie for Thor where you can
join S.H.I.E.L.D. The second game is godawful, but hey you can win tickets to Thor or an iPad.

ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME
DC will probably always kinda suck at the movies, compared to Marvel.
I mean, Dark Knight was fantastic, but Batman is one of what? Two DC franchises that have made any big-screen money? They got Batman and Superman, and their last attempt at Superman was hilariously terrible.
On the other hand, DC has the entirety of the DCAU, which Marvel has never really been able to match. So there's that.
But this is about live-action movies. So yeah, DC needs to get their shit in gear.
It proves that a modern day Hawkeye costume just looks stupid.
That it does, I'll give you that.
It'd be pretty rad if it actually turns out as cool as it looks. We'll see.
Yeah, but I think he's going to look more like the Ultimate version in the real movie.
Which I am more than happy about.
Don't care about any of this Avengers stuff though. I mean I guess it's something for fans but if all these Marvel movies are going to have it laced throughout and at the end it's actually kinda annoying. The cameo in Thor was so forced.
I can't see The Avengers being successful at all. How the christ are they going to make a profit let alone a good movie with so much content, so many huge, scene stealing characters and so much backstory they have to spread it out over every other film. Is it really the holy grail for comic fans though? Thor and especially Iron Man were great movies that had this other thing tacked on that seemed like it was trying to railroad me into this other thing when the thing they had going standalone was great.
Part of me knows that'll probably change when it actually releases, but even so, that seems a good sign to me
It's a little surprising too, to be honest

I had some faith in it.
he's actually not a bad actor, despite being in Twilight
just like Kristen Stewart can be a good actress when she's not in Twilight
This isn't actually true

YOU DARE IMPUGN MY HONOUR?!
He didn't?
Damn, all this time I was thinking he did. Any idea who did write it? You got me curious now.
well, he's got the hair for it.
May it die in a nuclear fire.
Anyway I saw it tonight. Can I ask that you go in and try to count the number of slanted camera shots they use.
Still don't know why we also got Iron Man 2 earlier by a week.
