Obviously Bone Claw Wolverine should have been in the unmarked spot. That was Wolverine's spot on the original cover, and Bone Claw Wolverine is an MVC2 vet who didn't make it into MVC3.
Also I'd almost consider Capcom trolling if they actually added any Mega Man other than Classic or X.

When they do add Megaman
It should be Megaman Volnut, just to relentlessly troll people
It's not a new Legends game, but it's something...
Over at MMN, we've posted the translation of the script for the first chapter of the Japan-only cell phone-exclusive game, Rockman DASH: Great Adventure on the Five Islands.
The game is a bit content-light, according to Heat Man, but the script seems to deliver pure Legends joy. I think this just might have my favorite Servbot moments of all time in it, between their attempts to thwart MegaMan, interacting with Teisel, and discussing the prospect of a bigger reward from Miss Tron (curry!).
More "we actually care about Megaman!" teasing, this time from Christian Svensson, Capcom’s senior vice president of strategic planning and business development.
Mega Man has played an important role in Capcom’s catalogue for many years, but recently he’s been missing in action. Is the mascot’s absence part of a larger plan to refocus at Capcom?
Change has been a constant during my six years at Capcom (vastly for the positive) but I want to be crystal clear on this point. Mega Man is a key brand for Capcom and will remain so. I don’t have any products we’ve announced publicly that I can point to and say “see, I told you” but there are “top men” (“top men”? “Yes, top men”) within Capcom thinking about the future of the brand and where it’s going. We will have official announcements in due course.

What do you mean it "doesn't look god awful"? You can't see the entire stage, your THUMBS cover up most of the little you can see, there are SCREEN TRANSITIONS THAT ARE JUST CUTS TO BLACK, there's no real dynamic music cueing, you can't fucking see the ship at the end of the highway stage, let alone hear it, so all you fucking get are cars randomly raining down on you, and then the fucking DLC purchases are shit you find in the game.
It's primitive compared to SNES tech, and it's the most abusive form of micro-transactions ever. The game can be beaten in two hours time, and you're telling me you're going to sell people content they can find by playing?
Fuck Capcom. They don't deserve my money. Not just for this, but for all their shitty decisions with the series.
Yup. Capcom will not receive another $ from me until they start producing quality content without all the bullshit and half-assed gestures, instead of sitting around sucking their own dicks while their company crumbles around them.

Remember how Capcom told everyone to fuck off for not developing Legends 3 for free? I guess this is more of what they expected from people. "Guys give us more ideas on how to abuse the shit out of you."
What the fuck has gotten into this company's collective-conscious?
That's fucking embarrassing. I just want the SNES version of the game. On any current platform. Is that too much to ask?
The closest I can find is Maverick Hunter X for the PSP. Which is close, and it's $5 right now on Steam, but I really just want to play the original game.
Edit: WHOOPS I MEANT PSN, not Steam. Steam sale on the brain.

Wait what did you just say? Maverick Hunter X for the PSP is available on Steam? As in, it's a PC game now? Are you pulling my leg?
It looks like the engine doesn't support parallax scrolling at all. Everything in the background scrolls with the foreground. It's like a series of screenshots stitched together.
And a huge chunk of graphics are just missing. No big overhead on-ramp thing at the start of the level. No lamp posts (does it support any graphics moving in front of Mega Man?). No broken vehicles along the road. Inexplicably, the green support beams you're walking on lack the little three notches at the bottom.
The fact that a screen transition exists right after the bee boss means that you don't get that small moment of brillance when you notice the powerups on the other side of the wall you have to jump up, letting you know it's safe to jump back down to get them.
Somebody needs to play this game at the same pace in another video and Youtube Doubler it up for direct comparison.
Yeah, this port's pretty damn baffling considering plenty of other games from other systems (here I'm thinking the Sonic games and Scribblenauts) survived the transition just fine.
I mean, the port of Sonic 2 allows you to go through the entire large level without reloading. But you have to reload multiple times in the first MMX stage? Which isn't exactly big by any stretch? What the hell?
It's funny that I just got around to watching this a few days ago, because so many of the little things it points out as brilliance in the original are gone from that iAbortion.
Actually, I'm going to spoiler that, since it's got ADULT LANGUAGE, but you know. Watch it if you're inclined, it's good.

High res graphics? That are so high res they can't even include a full screen's worth and have to cut out a bunch of other graphics?
I gotta say, it really does seem like a first year programming student's method of making a platformer: instead of efficiently storing a chunk of green road, chunk of green road with lights, chunk of sky, lamp post, etc. and then tiling them as needed, they just fill up the VRAM with entire background screenshots. And then have to clear them one at a time and load in the next one.

You'll be able to play as an unreleased copy of Megman Legends 3
They already borrowed Zero and Frank West from TvC, so why not?

Maybe they look better in motion.
I dunno, still could be fun though.
I laughed, but look at the original-- the size of his cranium was not the least bit modest there.
Can't figure out whether this is based on MHX or the Super NES version, though...
Maybe some hybrid of both?

Wow. After watching that I don't know what the fuck Capcom is thinking. Why not just port the SNES version if they're going to screw it up this bad.

I would buy that, that's the fucked up thing. Like just a literal copy / paste ROM emulation thing.
Edit - This isn't about ACTUAL emulation, I'm talking about a method of how Capcom could've fucking developed / sold this thing.

You do realize Wii is a current platform and the SNES version is there and awesome.
OH. RIGHT.
Capcom wrote over their backups.
All of them.
Forever.
I got a little excited when I saw your ship.
I did not know it was on the Wii. I'll get it there.
