Stalkers are good in that they have decent range, so their ball DPS is not too bad vs a Zerg without a good mix of Roach/Hydra. Individually they suck ass, and the ball DPS of Terran bio is way higher.
before i go to bed, i'd like to pose a general question
when (and if) you guys go over your replays, how do you find is the best method to extract meaningful thoughts about your play from the replays? like, things to keep track of, to look out for, common mistakes shown through replays, etc
basically what things do you do that allows you to self-analyze your own play better
Did I miss worker production? Did I end the game with an appropriate amount of workers?
Did I have idle production facilities? Did I not have enough production?
Did I expand when I needed to or at the wrong times?
Did I scout enough/properly to react to my opponent?
Did I engage fights in positions favorable to my army? Could I have improved battle outcomes with better/more appropriately utilized micro? Maybe a hotkey of certain units?
Did I float too much cash at critical points?
Were there points where I could have pressured my opponent and gained and advantage but didn't?
Did I get the right/wrong tech?
Why do I suck so much?
I'm suprised people don't use capital ships more versus Zerg.
Obviously its difficult to get there but honestly Carriers or Battleships with either Void Ray or Viking/Marine support are horrifying. I'm not even sure how you deal with that as Zerg,
Corruptors are so slow and massing them is troublesome. Hydras do not work, unless you have some insane upgrade advantage and an ocean of creep. The only thing that comes to mind is really heavy infestors which is super hard without a seventh and eigth gas online for a while.
I mean if you are looking for the cherry for your deathball I'd be certain to try the slow addition of these units versus two robos of collosus or mass marine upgrades.
You would certainly win many games on suprise alone while'st training your turtle on three base skills.
Well its more of the range issue, that if vikings are in similar number you take significant damage from engaging any more than once. It makes them kind of sluggish feeling.

I mainly focus on my macro when I analyze my replays.
Such as, my timing push/drop, am I still macroing at home? Do I keep my money low? I've lost games where my push was defeated and I had 1k minerals and I dont want this to happen again.
Another thing is to see when and if I should attack. Say I 2 rax and I try a little pressure. I'm scared of being overrun by lings so I sit at home. Watch the replay and realize I could've won at the 8 minute mark.
Thus, the others all die before tuxkamen dies to the vote. Hence, tuxkamen survives, village victory.

Is there a way a person can get themselves dropped from a game without surrendering? Like turning off their modem or some such?
I was in a game with a Favoured guy, he asked what race I was - I was protoss, and not random, I guess he just didn't pay attention at the loading screen. I told him, and he goes into the countdown. It gets to zero and he drops.
Maybe it was intentional, maybe not? I looked at his profile afterwards and it appears he's doing his placement matches.
Anyway because he was favoured I won 50 points and got promoted to SILVER! Finally!

For anyone who doesn't know you can check what race your opponent is using the Alliances menu in the top right ingame.
Obviously only shows Random if thats what they are, but if you're not paying attn during the loading screen its easy enough to check there.

BCs aren't terrible either, it's just that like carriers, all that time and resources spent getting a worthwhile amount of them is usually better spent elsewhere.

This will be my first time seeing Moletrap and Doa!
Basically, we want to still reward people for their time, so anyone who qualifies will receive at least $200 for their efforts, while still scaling up for some nice rewards for the top players!
Really awesome prize pool for IPL Season 2. Basically if you qualify at all, you get $200.

I'm not entirely sure how bomber picked up that lead. Nothing really dramatic happened, he had a later expansion but killed a few scvs with banshees to make up for it, yet somehow on the same number of bases he had more tanks, more marines, and 3/3 vs 1/1

Bomber vs MvP. These guys have only met once before, in the GSTL in febuary. That was on Tal'darim and MvP won. @gomtv
Bomber overall record 59-19(75.6%). vsT 20-7(74.1%). Last 25 games 19-6(76.0%) @gomtv
MVP overall record 72-25(74.2%). vsT 23-4(85.2%). Last 25 games 17-8(68.0%) @gomtv
this is like when everyone used to use only marauders as terran and then they all realised that marines do more dps.
Well you can always pull the ethernet cable out.
huh? like BCs and...?

They seem incredibly enthusiastic so far.
Like Tastosis almost.
Also I have a feeling Gom is telling them how to behave.
edit: gigantic supply block, apparently
Incidentally, games like that are why I don't like 1rax nogas expand in TvT.
