So uhh, me and a friend are thinking of starting a LoL podcast.
He's a 1900+ elo player with team EC (i think theyre third in NA) and im a 1450 solo mundo. We have pretty good chemistry and could possibly get guys like Atlanta and TreeEskimo showing up for guest spots and such.
We're wondering if any of you would actually listen to it, and give feedback for our soon to be terrible first ep.
I disagree on getting post-nerf Sunfire on rumble compared to, say, Zhyona's Hourglass.
Sunfire gives 35 DPS, the AP on Zhyona's gives 31 DPS from flamethrower alone not to mention harpoon/ult/overheat. Sunfire gives 45 armor and 450 health, Zhyona's gives 50 armor and 41 more shield absorb every 6 seconds. Plus Zhyona scales with deathcap when you eventually get it. Finally, Zhyona gives one of the best actives in the game. It's saved my life countless times when 450 HP certainly wouldn't cut it.
Pretty decently but not super amazing like vlad. At level 5, his flamethrower will be healing for 28 per target without any AP, which means that flaming a creep wave twice will get you about 200 HP. His level 5 harpoon will be healing 70. Together that's a lot of sustainability in lane.
I might try stealing your build and giving it a shot over mine. it's probably a lot harder to kill than mine at least

I'd probably watch it if you guys are good. I watch solomid streams fairly frequently and still watch day[9] about 1-2 times a week despite not having played SC2 for months.
Were you guys planning on doing more of a state of the game thing, or analyzing pre-recorded matches, or what? Generally the more actual gameplay involved, the more interested I am.
I approve ZergRush's Rumble build. My build is 99% same. I like to start with doran shield for HP and regen bonus for longer staying power without having to b.
I also watch to day9's weekly youtube posts even though I stopped playing SC2 for a very long time now. Anyone who does't like day9 is worst(est) person.
Zerg Rush's build is pretty good, but I recommend dropping the Hextech for a Mejai's because Rumble is OP as fuck and you should have 12 kills by 30 minutes every single game. By the time you get the spell vamp it's not going to do all that much for him.
I also like to go Deathcap once I've got Chain Vest + negatron. I feel the extra AP helps more than early upgrades into Zhonya's/Abyssal do. Of course, a late-game void staff is also important.
If you get off to a good start with him and beef him up some, he literally becomes unkillable unless the entire opposing team focuses on him and you just stand there and let them. His ult combined with ignite ruins people early on as well. They start to retreat with a somewhat safe amount of health left, BOOM TWO DOTS AND MY RANGED CONE ATTACK.
RUN FROM THAT. BITCH.
Yeah, a fed Morde is impossible to kill. I hate going up against one because everyone on my team wants to focus him when they should just be ignoring him and concentrating on other enemies during teamfights.
I absolutely butchered a 14-0 Morde with Cassi the other night. He tried to tank my burst. It was pretty funny.

Mejai's is amazing on Rumble. I get it on him almost as much as I get it on assassins. That said, I never plan on building any snowball items going into a game; I always build snowballs items as a reaction to my kill/death ratios. So, I can't really have it as part of a planned build.
A better way to put it is that by <x> number of minutes, I feel like there are certain things I need. Whenever we start teamfighting, I need Merc's. Around the 15 minute mark I need a chain vest or negatron. If I do really well beforehand, I can sneak in a Mejai's or maybe a Deathcap. If I do really shitty, then I have to do without my hextech. It's hard to put all that in a concise build order.
Yeah, I see your point, though I've only had one Rumble game out of a dozen or so where I didn't get mega-fed in the laning phase, so Mejai's has gotten to be pretty core for me. 2v1 lanes are especially hilarious, because you can usually either zone them or double-kill after you hit 6.
I find Mercs to be okay on him, but once he's gotten his ult off and is standing next to their team getting CCed doesn't matter that much since your flamethrower stays on. I prefer to grab Sorc Boots for even more laning burst and get the AP + Tenacity item if I really need it.

Did he build any tank? I still think trying to kill a fed morde is a waste of team resources, but yeah, a good bursty mage or assassin can certainly make him hurt.

this isn't the same, but I build a Mejai's on Sona 90% of the time (even if I have a shitty start). if I'm not getting any assists with her at all, it's likely that our team is being shut down too hard for it to matter.

I dunno who you're playing against where they both stand in your flamethrower and don't harass the shit out of you while they can before teamfights start

Rumble is a good 2v1 because a level advantage is a big deal for him. His ultimate absolutely destroys someone if they're still level 4-5 when he's six.
Basically, your play is to last-hit with your E until 6 while staying safe and leveling Q. Once you hit 6, run up to the squishies person in the lane and place your ult so it hits both of them, then chase with your E and burn the lowest with Q + Ignite. They should die pretty much instantly if they're at all squishy, and then it's a pretty easy task to 1v1 whoever's left.
If you don't get the kill for whatever reason (usually Flash+Ghost), wait until your ult is up and do it again.
The key with 2v1 lanes is playing super passive until you have an advantage. Don't take harass early on, just let them deny you last-hits or XP as they can - you'll stay level with them or even get ahead simply by virtue of them having to split the gold and XP.

I don't recall his itemization, exactly. I had slightly over 700 AP at the time, though. and a bunch of spell vamp. Think I had two of his teammates pooled and took him out with just Q and E. It all happened so fast...
I just had a ranked game where I was planning to take solo top as Rumble, but it turned out the enemy team had no jungle, so I let Vladimir take the 2v1 lane and went bottom...
...with Sion. Against Lee Sin and Lux.

Another issue is that I don't trust anyone else to go solo 1v2. Any ranged carry or mage? Eaten alive. Any other tanky character? None of them can bring the pain at level 6 like Rumble (well, maybe Irelia/Renekton.... maybe). EDIT: I suppose Vlad can do good in a 1v2, as can Shen and a couple of others. But it's still a pretty short list of characters that are as good or better than Rumble in that lane.
I approach it with the mindset that, as long as I don't lose my lane or get zoned out of EXP, I've won the 1v2. Theoretically, our jungle being able to roam and support the other lanes should have all resulted in them winning their lanes. I know it rarely actually works out like that, but that's how it's supposed to go anyways.

I never take ignite on him either, which probably isn't helping in those scenarios. usually go ghost/exhaust
if letting them deny me is part of the plan then apparently I'm doing it wrong 2v1. should I just be doing everything in my power to take as little damage as possible till 6 when solo top?
I dunno, I just prefer to crush the duo lane I guess. the nature of rumble's shit makes it hard for the other team to get any last hits themselves when I have backup
Mao is also a fantastic 2v1, as you can wreck the babysat carry with your sapling harass. If it's 2 tanky chars, you hit them before their resists ramp up, which makes them B.
I never take ignite on him either, which probably isn't helping in those scenarios. usually go ghost/exhaust
I'll be honest, I don't much see the point of Exhaust. Rumble's the most slowingest champion in the game already, and that's doubly so with Rylai's.
Harpoon is 15% movespeed slow at level one, and it stacks with itself plus 30% for red zone. At level 5, it's 35%. It's also single target which means it gets full benefit from 35% Rylai's (reduced by 65% slow stacking). Assuming I got my calculations right, that's 74% slow, the best single target slow in the game.
He also has flamethrower which is basically an always on 15% slow with Rylai's. And his ult is a ~40% slow. I could see dropping ignite for ghost/flash/teleport, but not exhaust.

In a 2v1 lane, yeah, not taking damage is the most important thing until you're reasonably sure you can kill both of them (either through a gank or a level advantage.) That doesn't mean you're going to get denied all that much XP - if they're last-hitting the lane will push to your turret, and Rumble's skillshot has a long enough range that you can score a few last-hits pretty safely. Don't go in expecting to creep or bully nearly as well as you would in a 1v1 lane - merely by being 2v1 you're giving your team a 4v3 elsewhere on the map, so if you stay alive and don't lose your tower that's already a plus.
The other big thing in a 2v1 is that you have to be extremely aware of what CCs the enemy has. Always know exactly how they can stun/slow/burst you, including summoners. If the only way to last-hit a creep is to get in range of CC or powerful harass, just miss the creep - they'll push to your tower soon enough and you'll make up the difference on solo XP.

Okay, so some of those snowball items are pretty ridic if you can put a few stacks on them. I'm convincing our Sona to try a meija (sp?) and I may try a Sword of the Occult on Garen.
How many teams are there? They have that weird tango theme that I think only has Eve and TF. Pentakill with Morde and Sona, did they add someone else? Then Commando with Xin, Jarvan, and Galio.
