Earth pony is a term carried over from G1. I assume it was coined so they could talk specifically about--well, earth ponies. Since the term "pony" applies to pegasi and unicorns as well, and "regular pony without horn or wings" is an awkward turn of phrase.
In G3, all the unicorns lived in Unicornia. I bring this up merely to share my scorn. Unicornia.WTF.
Im sure if PAX has a MLP FiM gathering it will be 20% cooler than all the others put together. Gotta brush up on my drawing skills and I could probably do some requests.

Actually, come to think of it, last week there was also this tweet, which inspires hope.
Considering the response the show got, they would have to be very dumb not to release DVDs/BRDs. I mean, the shows are already made, all they have to do is burn the disks, stamp labels on and give them to distributors. It's basically free money from this point.

Yeah, I had trouble deciding which pony would be which character, and I knew there would be comments on it regardless of who I chose. Scootaloo seemed more like the 'jump in and get it done' type, hence why I chose her for Kirk. I've got Sweetie Belle as Spock and Applebloom as McCoy.
The av club replies are hilarious. But I'm kinda upset that 4chan gets credit for anything being popular. Anyways,

Skunk Ape, Fluttershy is ALWAYS passive-aggressive. No offense FS, as you're a pretty great gimmick, but you are the worse character on the show (in terms of attitude). You're actually quite a bitch, masked in shyness and kindness.

Heehee, that's awesome, Atlur. Sweetie Belle as Spock was exactly my thinking, since she's kinda off. I would have picked Applebloom as Kirk, myself, since she's the leader, and Scootaloo is grumpier like Bones. But this works too. Applebloom being Southern is a good point, and yeah, Scootaloo does love adventure.
