    Yeah, for some reason I didn't really register until now that each of the four walls in their office is painted a different color.

    I was hoping Gabe would be able to pull off Noob's fatality. It's by far the most gruesome fatality I've seen so far; their reactions would have been interesting.

    I love that they're afraid of making a portal comic, because they're certain whatever product they put out would seem inferior in comparsion

    They were talking about not wanting to be compared to Portal 2 itself, because it's too funny.

    They weren't talking about being compared to another Portal comic, they were talking about putting their Portal comic up against Portal 2 itself. Tycho was musing how much he loved the game and how great it was and they don't want to even attempt to make a joke about it, because Erick has made all the jokes.

    And the Erik they are referencing is Erik Wolpaw, the writer for Portal 2. (One of them, anyway)

    Even before the game starts, I face my first challenge. Tom and Bruce insist that I need a microphone in order to participate. Like teenage girls, fancy dancer Bruce and actual teenage girl Tom can't go five minutes without talking to each other. But whatever -- it'll be a good opportunity to practice my Military Police radio codes while the two of them discuss how wrinkly they're both getting in the bubble baths they're probably soaking in. The problem is, I don't own a microphone. In a panic, but also sort of like an inventor like Jonas Salk, I plug a pair of headphones into the microphone jack and talk into one of the earpieces. For once in my stinkin' life, the joke is on the laws of physics, BECAUSE IT ACTUALLY WORKS. Amazingly, microphones and headphones appear to be the exact same thing. I attach the earbud to a piece of duct tape, and then I tape the whole contraption -- which I call Dr. Microphone in anticipation of the honorary doctorate I'll probably receive -- to my upper lip.
