The only way you get those cannons out is if you have a bunch of sentries and complete the wall. Cannons are expensive, you can't build two stalkers like that.
Naniwa is great, it's basically because 4gate is the best thing you can do in PvP.

Oh hey, a proxy gate from Naniwa, I am shocked. Shocked. He never does this.
To be fair I'm pretty sure he built only one gate on purpose knowing it would force Hasu into defense and cannons, or delay warpgate so he would have that advantage. I found that bit of trickery pretty interesting. Any good protoss player knows he won't win with a single proxy'd gate, so it had to be intentional.

Hasuobs seems to have brilliant control, and very weird decision making.
There's pretty much no way for him to know if Naniwa has decided to back off and tech/expand. If he pokes out of his base he loses his positional advantage and risks getting rolled (like he almost did when he killed the Pylon). He has to either keep pumping out of 4 Gates in order to hold the attack that might be coming (and risk letting Naniwa do whatever the hell he wants on his 3/4s of the map), or tech in case Naniwa doesn't end up attacking.

Right, but I think Robo was the wrong tech, coupled with leaving to snipe that pylon. Lost his concave and a couple stalkers.
So what actually happened game one Nani vs Hasu? That looked so weird.
Nani likes using mass blink stalker to get a big immortal commitment out of an opponent, then following up with a chargelot all-in.
Hasu cut immortals after 2, grabbed some colossus / sentry / zealot.
Nani got flustered when he rounded the corner into hey-wait-those-aren't-mass-immortals, botched his micro.
Yeah that was probably it. I was thinking maybe he was trying to do some fancy zealot-charge-your-own-blink-stalker abuse to get a surround, but probably not.
I had a PvT tonight on shakuras that I was pretty happy with. Did a 1 gate expand, held off an attack, almost got my base wrecked by a drop, destroyed his main army with the help of 2/2 and templars.
So, tell me where I was absolutely bad in this game! I was floating a ton of resources thanks to supply blocks early on, but felt like overall it was decent at least. Unit control in the early pushes was kinda iffy as well, but I did survive. Main improvement areas I'm seeing is fixing my supply issues in midgame, as well as being better at using my observer, gotta poke and prod at the sides of the base to see if I can get in to scout what tech they are doing. Proxy pylons for spotting drops as well I guess, it's something I'm really bad at in general.

They do up to the 2v2 at least it seems.
2v2s are a lot of fun to watch. So incredibly different from 1v1.
So apprently, the way to handle a PF and a missile turret is to just warp in 10 DTs and a move them on that shit while doing something else as they cut it to tiny pieces :P.

Except all the time.
Not that I'm blaming him for it.
Just bored.
Yeah I'm just listening to the cast. I'm not even really watching it anymore.
Be cheesier Naniwa.
Hasuobs is making really weird decisions in this game.
And naniwa is amazing to watch in the other matchups really.
The one game he did something more interesting he got smashed.
Sigh.
Thorzain vs Nani in the finals should be awesome.
He's super fun to watch vs T/Z though.
that ramp and the way the cliffs are basically tailor made to totally fuck your concave

that game was lost because of hasu's decision
which, i guess could be considered a reason, but putting the ball in the opponent's court so handily doesnt seem too great to me for some reason

low diamond protoss laddering if anyone is feeling bored, telling me how bad I was after games is encouraged :P.
and he just literally called the entire game spot on haha
he is so smart

Or do they just want to promo the 2v2 portion?

i think the terran should have funneled gas for the zerg so he could have done 2 hatch muta proper
but the infestor ee han timing by catz and such was pretty sweet
im actually kind of excited for more of these 2v2's, but i feel root's will always be the best
(drewbie and catz played competitive 2v2 all the way back in bw apparently)

once lategame hits in pvz i am starting to make the dark shrine and just using them for map control and army composition restriction
the space dt's buy you is so huge most of the time you can grab an expo and offset the gas dump
