So Idra is pretty good as SC2, despite his dickness. I wish there were another NA zerg at his level, but I think it's pretty clear that he's leagues ahead of the other zergs on this continent.
Concerning Idra; what's the deal with him anyway? In SC1, he generally was on the B team and saw very little time with the pros. Along comes SC2 and he's killing.
Do the mechanics of SC2 (MBS, unlimited unit groups, smart casting, etc) really even the playfield out that much or does the fact that he hit the ground running make up for it? Perhaps a combination of the above?

I think it's a combination of the two, Dover. People with RIDICULOUS mechanics don't get such a huge advantage anymore.

I like how NASL mis-pronounces Idra.... though most tend to pronounce it ih-dra, as that's how I used to say it, rather than eye-dra

Idra actually did commentary for the GSL for a little bit and it was really pretty insightful, albeit a little dry. The dude is like an encyclopedia of strategy and didn't really badmouth anyone when in that kind of role.
