The devs said the big unlockable items come first, the later ones are cosmetic things, or things that allowing you to specialize your characters even further.

edit: S.M.A.R.T. is rad though, you just have to keep it in you mind to use it, it's really easy to forget about but when using it you can really get the drop on folks
the SA comments are all over the place. People can't get the game to run, it runs at 30 fps even on my 3500 rig boo boo, there is no sound, it crashes boo boo, it is awesome, this is more fun than any other game ever, etc

I had the usual Steam unlock pains.
Had to play around a bit to get a feel for how I wanted my controls set.
I cranked the graphics up and it's pretty. AI is fucking relentless, but so are your bot buddies. Haven't played with real people yet, because I've been getting a feel for things. Almost rank 4. It's fun.
I don't know how I feel about this so far, the visual map design isn't as good as the Enemy Territory games, so you have to over-rely on the objective guidance. It's also more constricting.
The general shootery also just doesn't feel ... solid.

also the only way to play multiplayer is to open ports so uhh same problems as borderlands
anyone with port control feel like hosting a game (ports to open are 27015 and 27016)

there are some reasonable quibbles, like "the campaign might as well not be there" and "putting a multiplayer game together is kinda weird"
I'm less able to understand complaints like "the bots are bad" and "you level up too fast"

Also warning, the client isn't very alt-tab friendly yet.

like youll have an enemy dude run right into the middle of a bunch of friendly dudes and neither of them will notice each other for a few seconds
Which is exactly what happens with human players when you get snuck up on.
Bot play feels a lot like human play, minus real people don't care about changing class when there's a hole.
The general shootery also just doesn't feel ... solid.
I think it will take a couple of days for people to get a really good feel for the mechanics before passing a solid opinion.
