Feds and Browncoats (Serenity RPG)

Anybody here played the Serenity tabletop RPG? I'm just wrapping up the show with some first-time viewers here in the dorm. Now, a friend and I have been easing them into tabletop gaming over the course of the year, starting with LotR Risk, then adding Star Wars Miniatures. They're getting used to d20 combat, and I'm planning to introduce either the West End Games or Wizards Star Wars RPG sometime next year (one of my friends has sworn he will never play DnD, and I plan to make him eat those words and like it). Anyway, I've been thinking how great Firefly is and how I'd like to explore its world a bit more, so I was wondering if any of you have any experience with the game. I really know next to nothing about it, and since I'm not currently in a position to head over to Barnes and Noble to pick up the rulebook, I figured I'd ask around here. What are your opinions of the game? Are there any gaping flaws in its core systems? Any cool materials to find online? Would it be better to start my friends on this game, or on something else? Let me know.

You vant to cross, maybe?
