X-MEN FIRST CLASS charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to prevent nuclear Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-Men.
LET'S MEET THE KIDS!
James McAvoy as
Professor Charles Xavier. He leads the X-Men! Patrick Stewart played him in the previous films and did a damn good job.
Michael Fassbender as
Erik Lehnsherr / Magneto. He can manipulate magnetic fields! Ian McKellen played him in the previous films and was fantastic. Let's hope that helmet doesn't look that terrible in the movie!
Kevin Bacon as
Sebastian Shaw. He leads the Hellfire Club and has mutant powers, but it's not clear if they're the same as in the comics!
January Jones as
Emma Frost. She's telepathic and can turn into a diamond! She was also in X-Men Origins: Wolverine but
we don't talk about that.
Rose Byrne as
Moira MacTaggert. She works for the CIA and isn't Scottish anymore! She was also in X-Men: The Last Stand as a scientific authority on mutants, but I guess we can forget about that!
Nicholas Hoult as
Dr. Henry "Hank" McCoy / Beast. He's really smart and turns into a blue cat-ape! Dr. Frasier Crane played him in X-Men: The Last Stand like a boss.
Jennifer Lawrence as
Raven Darkholme / Mystique. She's a shape-shifter and possibly has kung-fu skills! Rebecca Romign-Stamos played her in the previous films and was surprisingly good.
Zoë Kravitz as
Angel Salvadore. She can fly and... do bug stuff maybe? Hopefully she'll be more entertaining/useful than Grant Morrision's take on the character!
Caleb Landry Jones as
Sean Cassidy / Banshee. He can fly and scream really loud! He's also not Irish anymore for some reason!
Lucas Till as
Alex Summers / Havok. He can hula-hoop energy off his body and absorb it too! He's also Cyclops' brother and that may come up in the sequels. Oh and he looks like a bitch.
Edi Gathegi as
Armando Muñoz / Darwin. He has the power of "reactive evolution" and that could be awesome!
Jason Flemyng as
Azazel. He can teleport and use a sword! He also might be Nightcrawler's father, but that will never come up in the films.
HOLY SHIT
So yeah this movie looks pretty good! I hope Matthew Vaughn doesn't kill himself trying to finish it in time. Let's talk about those stinkin' mutants!

literally my favorite youtube video ever
also this is a hell of an OP
after years of abuse from the X-Men film franchise, I am begrudgingly looking forward to this movie
TUTTI FRUTTI
THE WILD MAN OF BORNEO
SEE YA AROUND
on the one hand, x-men
on the other hand, I thought stewart and McKellan hit the Xavier/Magneto bit pretty much perfectly in the previous x-men movies and I'm not sure this one does as well
that's why we call it the struggle, you're supposed to sweat
two of the worst characters in X-Men history
also how you gonna have First Class without Warren Fucking Worthington
JEAN!
Also, I'm I the only one surprised to have heard that an X4 and X5 are still possibly going to be made?
I think they are still going to be following the shit the first X-Men movies did.
well that is unfortunate

why would that surprise you? as terrible as x3 and wolverine origins were they both made money.
Darwin's dead? I just saw him a few months ago. Unless you're making a funny about what happened with him and Hela.
i thought he died during the space adventures to shiar space.
it's been a while since i followed anything xmen so i could be terribly off.
Wanting money doesn't surprise me.
Just that they are choosing to continue on with the films that have already been made rather than reboot them. Like Ghostrider, Fantastic Four, The Amazing Spider-Man, and the planned reboot of Batman.
No, he's been in X-Factor for years now.
I had assumed it was Pixie since you know, Pixie is an actual interesting character.
Bryan Singer wants to do X4 so that could be good
but this movie looks like shit to me
Need some stuff designed or printed? I can help with that.
it's the only way to be sure.
I won't hold my breath, but I'd be happy if it turned out well.
But the first two were so good

You're right. I just remember reading that they would be ignoring the first movie, but you're right again.
the revelation that that is Angel and not Pixie may be TOO MUCH

Me too, I haden't even heard of an Angel who isn't well...Angel.
If you enjoy seeing Magneto as a young person during that time period you should give it a try.
Greg Pak wrote it. It's pretty good.
My lord
Contrast this brilliant scene with Magneto's completely pointless and utterly unnecessary destruction of the Golden Gate Bridge in X3 and tell me which is the better movie
