Hey guys, we're looking for more writers at Gosu.com. I wanted to see if anyone here was interested. Vari and iowa have already contributed some great articles, but with the wealth of eSports stuff out there surrounding merely SC2 alone it'd take an army just to keep up.
Specifically, we're looking for people interested in covering the GSL, NASL, or IPL season 2. I'm also perfectly open to any other writing topics anyone would be interested in, including strategic write ups, humor pieces, reviews/previews of other games, etc. Even if you're not sure what you want to write about, I can assign you a topic.

Sadly my micro/multitasking isn't good enough to make any of the alternatives work, so should just keep going for the path of least resistance I suppose :P.
So what's the new hotness for Protoss? Just played a few games (my first since the patch), 4 gate timings obviously felt very funky and also felt much safer than before going 2 gate robo vs. the 4 gate.. Is there any cool shit I don't know about yet?
Ah man lalush vs whitera in these IPL qualifiers. Whitera down 0-1 in a Bo5, beats lalush, lalush quits no gg. Game after lalush maxes out on roaches early to be aggressive but can't get in a good position to attack, sacs too many harvesters into static defenses and loses to late-game stalker/void ray/templar/colossus play. As the game ends:
lalush: Whitera I want to say something bad to you.
lalush: Should I do it?

I think it was during the GSL Team World Championships, but they basically said that White-Ra isn't the best macro player or anything like that, he just knows how to win games when the chips are down.

really shows how blue flame hellions are one of the most potent things you can harass with
ended the game straight up with my first drop.
messed up a bit, only had 1 guy in my second gas for 30 seconds or so, threw off a lot of timings.
I'm going to put on my standard hat and explain why I don't like this build.
It CRUMBLES to early pressure. 3rax timing? marine/scv all in? (dicey you might have hellions out for it or you might not). Fast thor push? All of these can just break you open like a ripe melon.
It is completely dependant on doing initial damage. If you don't get in with that first drop and do some econ damage, your opponent (if he doesn't already) knows exactly what you are all about, and can quickly transition into a marauder/thor push and end your day. Also, you stay on 1 base for way too long, and then need to double expand.
I do like how it forces serious mechanical play. The only way you are going to kill that marine/tank push coming is to roast the marines and clean up tanks with your banshees. A moving into it will result in a fast loss.
I'm super pumped the the next MLG event, but who the heck does gretorp hire to prevent seeded people from showing up so he gets into the groups again. I don't see a turn around for liquid's fortunes at this event though. Haypro will likely be fighting it out for last place in his group with machine. I don't see Ret or Tyler doing well enough to win their group of doom either. Their best bet to me seems to be TLO getting 2nd in his group to Losira. I also think Naniwa has to be freaking stoked with his group. Moon is in my mind the least scary of the koreans and unless drewbie and gretorp turn around their play big time they should be a walk over for him, in addition to the fact that he stomped slush in NASL a week or so ago and it wasn't close.
With any luck Gret0rp will justify his seed this time by winning any of his matches ever.

it's fun as hell! as I said to jeff when I told him I was interested, I'm watching dozens of games a week anyway I might as well have something to show for it

Im not sure they were actually funny, more just pointing out how much of a hypocrite day9 is, why no-one should look up to Artosis and why Tastosis is actually hurting esports in general.
I could go on for days buyt 90% of the sc2 programing community are pieces of shit and I feel a little sick inside when Idra wins anything.

Apart from that 4 gating is still common, I went some funky 3 gate robo build into a later expansion that worked pretty well... until I met archons!

I really liked how White Ra advised him towards it.
Any ways, possibly the best White Ra bm of all time at the end of that last loss.
And yeah he was floating a lot of minerals quite a bit throughout the series.
