I just can't believe that he would go back to the Transformers. I mean, I don't loath the movies as much as others here, but more like man....is he not bored of making this type of movies?
Also, I really wonder why they decided to go with a limited selection of movie theaters for the Batman preview. I thought for sure that Dallas would get a least one theater, but nope. Still, like someone said, it'll be on youtube soon enough.
After the success of the first movies by the time you take all the stuff he gets for doing the films he makes like a hundred million dollars believe it or not thank to receiving a cut of the pie etc.
So I've been watching the Wolverine anime because I make poor decisions in life. It's something. At least you get to see Wolverine actually use his claws on non robot based things.
There I was, 3DS: 2621-2671-9899 (Ekera), Wii U: LostCrescendo

So there were press screenings for just the 6 minute preview of TDKR, without MI4 attached.
And a Q&A with Nolan and Emma Thompson afterward.
The word from the 4 or 5 reviews I've read is that Bane is fucking amazing, with Wired and Comics Alliance saying that he has every bit as much screen presence as Ledger's Joker, but that the actual plan he executes makes Joker look like a silly goose. Unfortunately, they say he has a voice that rival's the Bale Batman for indecipherability.
Attendants had to sign a NDA on spoilers, so the reviews don't talk about any specifics, but just general ideas. However, piecing together the things they mentioned
Are you seriously going to read this? It could be huge. Do you really want it spoiled?
It sounds like Bane stages some sort of aerial coup, and rains dudes down onto a city, possibly Gotham itself. Apparently it is a brutal and incredibly strategic move that threatens order much more than the Joker ever did, begins in a plane, and ends with some type of aerial manuevering.
Here are the links to the Wired and CA reviews. Caution, there be minor spoilers!
Ice. Cold. Crystalized imagery and a very familiar logo of a Bat.
Jim Gordon at Harvey Dents funeral gives a eulogy, a few words about
inspiring others…
CUT—
An unnamed mountainous region.
A jeep rides along the landscape. Hooded men in the back of a jeep are
driven to a small plane… the jeep is met by an armed CIA agent who
takes into custody a political VIP, who is traveling with these hooded
men… or is he? The CIA Douche learns that one of the hooded men is
BANE?!
The hooded men, along with the political VIP are loaded onto the plane.
The plane takes to the air as the CIA douchebag interrogates those
taken on board. One of the hooded men is dangled outside the plane and
questioned/threatened and when the CIA agent doesn’t get what he
wants, he fires his weapon (next to the hooded man’s ear, he is not
killed) and then begins to question the other hooded man. That hooded
man is unmasked and revealed to be… Bane!
CIA DOUCHE: Was it your plan all along to be captured?
Suddenly, a much larger plane overtakes the smaller plane occupied by
CIA Douche, Bane and hostages. Operatives from the larger plane
descend onto the smaller one–
Bane in all his Ventilator glory is revealed….CIA DOUCHE: If I take
this off, will you die?BANE: No. But I will be in a lot of pain.
BAM!
Operatives from the larger plane fire upon the interior of the plane
interrupting the interrogation.
The larger plane has ahold of the smaller one as it pulls it by wires
throwing all the passengers downward in a disorienting fashion.
After quickly overtaking the plane, Bane’s operatives bring in a man
with inside a body bag. This man is dead or looks barely alive. Bane
then takes the VIP political prisoner and inserts a tube and transfers
blood from the body bag man. (It’s confusing as to why this is
important.)
AND THEN… in a scene that no words will be able to do justice, a
hole is cut from the smaller plane and a wire takes Bane and the VIP
politico through the rear of the plane as the smaller plane is ripped
apart and is destroyed while members of Bane’s team sacrifice their
lives going down with the small plane. (Again, it should be stressed,
this description pales to what you will actually see, it’s a true
spectacle.)
The chant can be heard at the end… Deh-Shay! Bah-Sah-Ra!
The scene is followed by a montage that includes many images we’ve
seen, the most striking includes the Bat-copter chasing down fatigued
Batmobiles down the streets of Gotham, and a final shocking image of
Bane tossing away a shattered and torn Batman mask into rubble…
The only complaint about the 7 minute prologue was echoed by all in
attendace: Bane’s dialog is very difficult to understand. Imagine
Darth Vader with a very thick accent. Hopefully this will be fixed in
the final film.
Overall this opening scene is confusing, epic, and will leave
audiences speechless. All in a good way.
Super psyched. It's funny because I loved Batman Begins, but intentionally didn't care about TDK at all because I was sure it would either fumble or be a really form-fitting piece of genre entertainment. TDK totally blew me away, and now I can't help but freak over TDKR even though it's much more likely to be the bad apple of the trilogy.

TV takes a break in December, and the mid-season starts halfway into January.
That's when Young Justice will be back.
And although that massive original gap was uncalled for, it was due to animation production issues. They literally ran out of finished episodes, and it took months to finish up another batch.
I am all for complaining about a show getting its schedule fucked with, but it seems to more more the fault of YJ's production team here than the actual network.
And why is it so dark?
That doesn't give me a Spider-Man feeling at all
Are they going to kill off Gwen right away?
Both Gwen and Ben in the same movie?
Ugh
Seems like they're trying to channel The Dark Knight
Except footage shown at comic-con has Spidey cracking jokes and being a wiseass, which is something that the previous series barely even touched on
I've heard, but I haven't actually seen that
What I have seen is that poster, the teaser trailer and stills that make the movie seem dark and serious
Maybe it's time to show the rest of us some of this wisecracking
Even if Spidy mostly wise-cracks in the movie they wont show it because some idiot's are convinced TDK was successful because it was dark and not because it was great and had fantastic word of mouth.

Or the only Spider-Man stories they read were the McFarlane Spider-Man issues dealing with violent voodoo Lizard and a child molesting canadian cop who then killed them.
So, in Amazing Spider-man, are we going to predict who dies?
My bet is on:
1. Uncle Ben, again. We'll probably see him die several times.
2. Peter's parents
3. Gwen Stacey
4. Curt Conners, because the villain has to die in the end don't you know?

It's a pretty good incentive to keep making them.
Does Dallas have an IMAX theater?
Also, it appears fox is working on First Class 2, and new Daredevil and Fantastic Four movies, so hope of Marvel getting those rights back anytime soon is dwindling: http://comicbookmovie.com/fansites/JoshWildingNewsAndReviews/news/?a=50825

It's more or less getting Airbendered despite getting very good ratings.
The network really has no clue on shows.

So excited.
Particularly excited to see Bane done right for essentially the first time on screen (although Young Justice got pretty close).

this isn't a surprise
but so long as he actually gets through it intact and shows off his sense of humor it'll be fine
But whats "the untold story" though? Because I could swear I've seen Ben die before.
which is bullshit
because they were spies investigating the second Red Skull and this isn't part of the marvel cinematic continuity
Sure, but this movie seems to be all dark
If they were doing a story like Death of Gwen Stacy or something(like I mentioned), but this is an origin movie that sets the tone of the character
I've heard, but I haven't actually seen that

spider-man's had a story where his aunt may had radiation poison after peter gave her a blood transfusion while she was already very sick
he had to deal with Doc Ock as the Master Planner, and he got pinned under tons of concrete and metal while water was rising beneath him
and that was just from one ongoing story within the first forty issues of spider-man
he has always had shitty, dark things happening
that's his thing
he also doesn't let it define him, he powers through it and cracks wise and beats bad guys
