Random lore question in VtM: What happens to Vampires when they die? Are they soulless or just damned when they're undead?
Vampires are living souls in dead bodies. I don't believe there is anything clear or official about what happens to those on Final Death, aside from some hints that being Diablarized is like their soul being devoured. Christian-leaning vampires see the mythos with Caine and their inhumanity in a certain light (and many of them where embraced in times when humans were far less atheist) but that's about it.
Now i'm starting to wonder about who the narrator/hand at the end is, while simultaneously wondering if maybe Christof will show up.
Cristof turned up in the clan novels! They powered him down pretty significantly out of necessity because he was in a narrative with Theo Bell and needed to not just kick the shit out of everyone with his Methuselah bullshit. He doesn't have a huge role, but he's around, still carries a sword, works for the Camarilla.
Me, upon hearing the game is coming out: Cool! It sucks that it is still a year away, but at least I've played the original enough that I won't have the urge to re-install now that everyone is talking about it.
Me, a few hours later: Okay, maybe I do want to re-install it, but do I really want to figure out what mods and dark rituals I need to perform to get it running on my system.
Me, a few more hours later: Oh, I guess I still have it installed and in a running state from the last time I played it.

In case anyone is wondering why I'm Johnny On The Spot with VTM shit, I produce a show for Club PA where we play VTM so I've been a semi-professional vampire expert for the last six months.
Me, when Bloodlines originally came out: “Fuck the Camarilla they’re not my dad they can’t tell me what to do”
Me, a year before Bloodlines 2 comes out: “Given how awful a lot of these vampires are about keeping the Masquerade the Cam actually would serve a purpose if the power structure wasn’t so corrupt, it needs to be reformed probably and then I’d be down for that”
Am I just overthinking the fancy pants white dude near the end or is that LaCroix. .
There is no ending in which LaCroix survives
Strauss'
You depose him, Strauss takes control and Indiana Jones' the sarcophagus. Maybe LaCroix dies afterwards via execution but no NPCs say anything about that. Up til the credits he's still around.
I haven't read any of the books though.

i skimmed the rules for a newer version of vampire recently and it mentioned that vampires are corpse-looking usually but can spend a little bit of blood pointiness to appear to be conventional blushing maidens etc for a scene to help with social interactions with humans

That's in every edition of the game, expend some vitae to stir the blood for the so-called Blush of Life and you will appear to be completely living, even to medical examination, and be able to do anything you could while alive, although sex cannot result in pregnancy either way and you will later throw up anything you eat. There's plenty more crazy nonsense additional exception rules but that's always been the basic standard.

I could see a combination of endings as the canon one, actually.
Indy Fledgling defeats LaCroix, Strauss stops either of them from opening the Sarcophagus. Ming Xiao turns out to have glamered an escape and the Kuei-Jin go to war, Strauss and Nines forge an alliance to stop them. Fledgling seemingly drops off the face of the earth to the point where they become a mythical figure thus 'becoming a legend' as the indy dialogue suggests they wanted to.

I would hope against that, personally. It’s very much thematically core to the franchise, frenzy was rarely a big deal in the original either

Real happy that Paradox brought this game back. I knew there was a reason I kept buying DLC for Paradox games I don't even play anymore!
Hells yeah! I've bought almost all the Stellaris DLC and expansions despite not playing it nearly enough to justify it! But I'm more than happy to keep giving them money to make Bloodlines 2! :heartbeat:
I've played through VTM:B multiples times, but never really finished it, simply because I don't want the atmosphere of the game to end. Now though, now I have a reason to, and something to look forward to!

First one doesn't look modern enough to be toreador. Could be Tremere (it looks a LOT like the Tremere Chantry in Bloodlines 1) with the "more obvious tremere" being Giovanni(which could also be the first picture) or assamite.

I am actually leaning more towards assamite as, iirc set is big in seattle (?).
The seven available in the original game and the primary playable clans from the tabletop I assume. Ventrue, Toreador, Gangrel, Brujah, Tremere, Nosferatu, and Malkavian.

Call me a pessimist if you like, but I think the odds of the Camarilla reforming into something that isn't run by and for ancient monsters with no interests outside of their own self-interest are rather low.
