Ugh beer is so expensive here. 7 bucks for a sixer of cheapish 4% ABV stuff. 8 bucks (at the cheapest) at the state liquor store for anything more than 4%. Truly this is hell.
that reaaaally isn't "so expensive"
You've got it worse then, big guy?
well sorta but I'm in New York, so, duh
$12 for a sixer is p. bad though, that's what a lot of stuff runs around here
Koshian those prices are ridiculous. And those hours suck horribly as well.
Ahh, that makes sense if you're in New York. I'm in Utah, so prices that high are a bit of a surprise. Also our liquor board is run by Mormons who don't drink, which leads to lovely amounts of condescension as far as proposed legislation and public dialogue. And don't even get me started on our ridiculous treatment of bars. We didn't have bars until 2009. Before that they were private clubs, where you had to pay cover for a "membership".
i've taken to buying my beer on saturday, especially if i work, and then buying extra and squirreling it away for sunday so if i'm up early i don't have to wait
you might ask, well why would you start drinking before noon anyway? cause you can't grill without beer

sometimes I really like them and have made a good tomato sauce with them in the past. but now I want to try and incorporate them into cocktail. any suggestions?
the bloody mary route would be a great idea, I think.

My mix drink, "The Master's Cup". Get a can of Arnold Palmer tea/lemonade, drink some of it. Refill the empty space with the alcohol of your choice. My personal preference is equal parts gin, rum and vodka.

is that local breweries are often priced at import prices, despite being more local than most domestic beer distributors
but the problem is that bars/restaurants have to price these beers at import prices due to the price that they get it from the distributors
so these fucking distributors can lick my asshole. if it's in state, it's not imported, don't fucking price it like that, cunt.
but part of why I've steered clear was it would be some grody folgers stuff
when I've made coffee with my french press even with cream and sugar there's a definite difference
also I tequila
