all the IPAs I have had are mostly just bitter, high ABV bad things
Ah, see the bitterness is what I love about IPAs. You're right though, they do tend to get pretty alcoholic pretty fast. I can only ever do one or two of them at a time
Somebody bought me some Maker's Mark for my birthday. Drinking it side-by-side with some barrel select Buffalo Trace. Also, the store I work at just got a selection of experimental barrel pints from BT, but not the stupidly expensive Experimental Collection ones. Huzzah.
I'm just a beer man Keystone Light. Sucks that it is starting to get popular, cause the price will probably go up. Actually, I'm also a Jager-Bomb man.

BT is my go-to bourbon of choice, but I haven't had any of the barrel select.

Your life is going to get so much better when you discover big-boy alcohol
bought a 12 pack of sierra nevada summertime. pretty good!
i think for grilling purposes it was perfect, because it had a crisp, refreshing taste to it. think the shiner dortmunder beats it out though.
The shiner dortmunder is pretty good, so is their double wheat. I got my wife to try Sam Adams Noble Pils and she actually liked it (she doesn't usually like beer)
A friend of mine swore up and down Shiner Bock was the greatest thing and as a Texan I owe it to myself to love it too.
I couldn't finish a sip it was so awful.
Yeah, I like Shiner Bock but it's definitely not my favorite beer in the world. I'm really more of an ale person, especially with lots of hops. I love bitter things.
I think I only accidentally posted something for the LoL thread into some other thread.

I'm going drinking tonight, gonna be Alexander Keith's alllllll night. Beer of choice by far.
One time when I was just kinda starting to drink and still really liked shit like Smirnoff Ice (cuz I didn't drink beer yet), I got drunk drinking a lot of those and then did 3 or 4 shots of Jack Daniel's in a row. Not a good idea. Ended up puking off my friend's deck and being dragged home in someone else's shoes. Whoooops.
I kinda understand where you're coming from OP, I hated the taste of beer at first but then I realized it was because the beer I kept drinking was SHIT. Now I drink stuff I really really enjoy drinking.

Yeah I figured out I am an ale person too with a bit of a IPA thing going on. I bought some more Arrogant Bastard today along with some Ruination IPA. The tastes of these things reminds me of grapefruit rind which ain't too bad.

This was tasty.
hard cider!
Some are yummy, some are tolerable, others are just overwhelming!
Also, :^: to the whiskey gingers.

I can tolerate bitterness more if it is a really dark beer for some reason

it is okay
stop promoting that beer
It is Oberon time
You fucking heathens
Go me.
What is up, thread?

I only drink alcoholic-beverage, man

actually i don't really remember what the kosmos tastes like
but the oktoberfest, dortmunder, blonde, bock, blonde light, hefeweizen, etc are all pretty fucking top notch. holiday cheer is decent too.
I cannot stand those
tastes like I'm drinking an ashtray
but maybe the ones I've had just sucked
Yes.
Bring me some.
