I'm getting married in October. 85% of the worst of it is already taken care of, leaving me to procrastinate on invitations by looking for sheet music online. The place we're using has a harpist they occasionally pimp out for weddings, and while we're opting against most frou-frou expenses, I'm adamant about having her play at our ceremony.
I have Final Fantasy in mind, and while the Internet is most bountiful in FF piano sheet music, I don't see anything written specifically for the harp. It looks like the instrument has a nice
range, so far as my high-school music memory can tell, but I'm not sure the crazy sixteenth-note syncopation I see on some of these pieces will translate well to strings.
First question: If I bring several sheets to show the coordinator at our next meeting, which FF tunes would have simple enough music to not break the harp player's brain/hands, and still sound okay for a wedding? The chocobo theme or Aeris' melody would not set the mood I'm after. (I have yet to locate the series' main theme, which is as harpy as harp music gets, but it's just a matter of time.)
Second: If it turns out to be too expensive or difficult to wrangle, what other, more traditional (read: accessible) melodies would you guys recommend?
