oh Raij, I still need to give you serious hi5s/kisses for listening to You Were Wrong by Built to Spill

just thinking about that song gives me boners. Very good memories attached to that song.

I only started listening to Built To Spill in the last couple of months. They are a seriously kickass band.

I saw them play with the Pixies two years ago at Bumbershoot in Seattle.

    Good, good times.

I haven't been to a concert in a long time. I'm going to Jazz Fest in New Orleans but that isn't until May.

I'm so fucking pumped for it though.

It's easy when you love jazz.

I imagine the mosh pits at such a show would be most intense indeed.

    All slowly thrashing each other.

There are going to be some good bands there other then the jazz.

    Steely Dan
    ZZ Top
    Allman Brothers
    Better Than Ezra

    The list is huge.

How can you diss the Allman Brothers and ZZ Top like that?

I guess I am an old man when it comes to music sometimes.

"old man" music is nothing to be ashamed of.

I still listen to music my grandparents got down to.

Rosemary Clooney, for instance, is super fucking rad.

Fun fact: She's also George Clooney's grandmother.

I honestly listen to almost everything. I avoid any new rap, most hardcore thrash metal, and raggaeton.

    Everything else is fair game.

Steely Dan is pretty good stuff. They are one of my dad's favourite bands and are named for a dildo. I don't think he knows that.

I just don't get how people can still be into Belle and Sebastian. They're early stuff is ok but the new stuff is just...but look, I like really bad bands too. Like this cheeseball emocore band from the mid-90s, Kite Flying Society.

So I couldn't remember the name of this really bad emo band that I love and now I'm going through all of this mid to late 90s emocore and god, it's so wonderful. Indian Summer rock my face.
