This is the old cover, I just want to see the bigger version:
You know what is really funny? That cover was originally used in really old Spectrum game, and Phoenix Games just decided that it was so cool that they bought rights for it, and used it again. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of that game.

The saddest thing about those videos is that the 2 voice actors ( I think there's only 2, which is still twice as many as Animal Soccer World ) sound like they're making a real effort. It's too bad they're working on crap like this.

The dalmations one is quite funny, because unlike animal soccer world which had dutch actors with a poor grasp of english as an excuse for their acting, this one is obviously made by english actors who were probably laughing their asses off and screwing off the entire time.
Rebranded Phoenix games for the Wii? Or just another publisher sourcing from the same budget development teams?
Surprisingly enough, there are actually two companies competing for our money with shitty cash-ins. The other being Bold Games/Data Design Interactive.

One of the Bold Design games in the Kotaku story is "Monster Trux: Offroad", which looks awfully similar to Phoenix's "Monster Trux: Extreme".
EDIT: It looks like, while Phoenix's cartoon/jigsaw games might be in-house, many of their other games are from Data Design Interactive/Metro 3D : http://217.199.176.105/.
Bold just publishes Data Design's games in the US.
EDIT 2: Bizarrely, sitting in between "Habitrail Hamster Ball", "Billy the Wizard: Rocket Broomstick Racing" and "Action Girlz Racing" on the Data Design website, are: "R-Type Final" and "Armoured Core 3".

The only solution to this dilemma is for one or both of the companies to produce "Monster Trux: Extreme Offroad".

They could take a hint from the recent Blizzard and Activision merger and call themselves "Bold Phoenix Games".

No. You are wrong in every conceivable way.
I'm talking about the Dalmations one, not Animal Soccer. Just close your eyes and listen. Ignore the music and the sound effects and the crappy dialogue they're using and focus on how the voices sound. They're speaking clearly, with proper enunciation and no mumbling or shouting. They're emoting enough that they don't sound bland and robotic, but not to the point of melodrama. Some of the voices are weirder than others, but that's an expected side effect of having a couple actors trying to differentate multiple roles. I'm not saying it's high quality, but I've heard a lot worse. Hell, the main characters in Mega Man ZX Advent, an otherwise very well-polished game, had worse voice acting.

I watched the promo video on the bottom of the main page and that pink bunny girl running up a giant pachinko board didn't look bad.

Okay, so they made Drop and Blow, but here is one they should make to go with it in a double pack
Big Nut Buster.
Just make it a recolored version of Drop and Blow and bam instant kid classic :P
Edit: going to mock up a cover... one second!
Sorry for huge... and yes, it is crazier that regular golf

And they have TV advertisments for these games in German TV...
The police car at the end of the dalmations 3 part1 movie had Polizei (translation: police) written on it and was painted in green. Maybe these things are made in Germany.
edit: The cat's voice in dalmations reminds me of Catface.

Metro 3D published RType Final and AC3 in europe. They didn't develop them.
So, I was Gamestop on December 30th and saw a huge rotating display rack of those 4 Bold games by the cash register. I was stunned because it looked like they were being displayed as impulse items at a gas station. It makes so much sense. You are at the register, you know that your grandson wants SMG and there is a low-priced racing game to add to the pile. It's like a lighter to go with your slushie and nachos at 7-11.
I asked the employee, why are you guys displaying these games? Don't you know that they are just cheap imports from Phoenix games? He just looked at me like I was dumb and I remembered that not every GS employee reads PA. The irony was truly lost on him.
I think it won't be long before we have to start a Bold thread to go with this one!

Oh, I figured that.
But what is a laughably crappy developer, who usually gets other publishers (such as Phoenix and Bold) to handle their games doing publishing RType Final and AC3?
It looks like the "Iron Chef" game might be coming to the Wii in North America.
I'm not sure if it's the same as the one on the Phoenix website, but it's published by Destineer and they also brought over a lot of the Data Design Interactive games. (Monster Trux: Offroad, Rig Racer 2, MythMakers: Orbs of Doom, etc.)
It doesn't look like this has been posted yet. InfernalMonkey added Dalmations 3 (Parts 1 and 2 of 5) today.
The third part is also up. Would the language be different in the movie if a different language was selected at startup?
Exactly what I was thinking. Since they are a Dutch company, it makes sense to think they would also include Dutch and possibly German language tracks on there. Can anybody get in contact with somebody who owns Animal Soccer World or Dalmatians (the Youtube guy maybe) and verify?
Has anyone posted the link to the website of the "Code Monkeys", the UK-based development team who appear in the opening credits of Dalmations and Animal Soccer World?
Much of their earlier work seems to be in doing porting, and they have worked on some decent games from reputable companies, including Epyx, Gremlin, Access and Accolade. I'm surprised to find out that I actually own one of their games: the C64 port of E-Motion.
Their recent work is all shovelware tie-ins and Disney rip-off Jigsaw/Cartoon games.
The most interesting thing to me is that around the time they started creating the Disney rip-off games, they were actually doing legitimate work for Disney Interactive (on Goofy's Fun House).

8:06 in the first one. The graffiti on the fence reads 'We Like Chicken'...
What the fuck?
Does the second part become a flashback half way through or just stop making sense?
The dog is called Krummel! It is an Animal Soccer World sequel!

I do believe it is Outlaw for the C64:

Oh, and look at the price of the game on the C64 box art.
It does look a lot like their logo.
And Players were a budget label back in the '80s and early '90s too. The similarities are spooky.
Did you watch Animal Soccer World?
Why has the dog got a slingshot around his neck.
It's doggy bling.
I...

dog- "CONCEITED APE!!"
who knew dalmations could get so riled up about gingerbread?
I should like to suggest the possibility that Players Premier died away and was -- get this -- somehow reborn as Phoenix Games.
(Also, since when did Phoenix pay for permission to use things that didn't belong to them?)

Nah, the name's too long to make a logo out of clip art. They would have to to truncate it into one word, like 'Bolix'.
Bolix Games. Yeah, that sounds about right.
I think it's the other way around. It's only offensive in America. We say damn all the time in Canada.

Here is their (hopelessly out-of-date) web site:

Here is a list of their released games. They have quite a history:

Although whats best is that most of the Movie+Jigsaw puzzle games were originally Playstation Game.
"DAMN!"
I'd be the last one to complain, but wasn't this for kids?
