If only they had brought three satellite trucks, this crisis may have been averted. Bad luck for MLG, I just hope the viewer base doesn't decide to go insane and boycott MLG for all time. Oh wait, who am I kidding, Team Liquid :?

Well it's a pretty big freak storm so hopefully people will sympathi-hahahahahaa
because last time they relied on the venue's internet connection (convention centers generally aren't wired amazingly in the first place) a local large switch or router went out and they had to bring in satellite trucks
so this time they just put their entire streaming operation on satellite, giving the venue's net entirely to the games (aka sc2)
And if he loses again we don't get to watch anything! They are playing game 2 of MC Thor and Sheth July games right now, so lets hope they go to game 3.

Isn't the problem more on your end for not understanding the system then? I know exactly what every game means in the grand scheme of things.
Not really. I think if a tournament can't properly explain to a casual viewer why they should care about a particular game, they're doing a really bad job. GSL/TSL do a great job with this, partially because of their simpler format, and partially because they make a big deal out of it before every match.
Woo just played my first couple games in like a million bajillion years. Didn't get stomped nearly as bad as I was expecting.
I haven't played in nearly three weeks because I fear the first few games with no practice so irrationally hard. I'll watch MC boss terrans around vicariously instead!
that venue looks fun as hell, I wonder if MLG has any west coast tourneys coming up

day9's newbie tuesday on having fun with starcraft helped me get over this, I got back in after mass hiatus and just jumped into ladder to learn fresh. I got demoted out of gold and everything, no big deal. Just a game, at our level at best.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU mlg
Actually that went from 'bit of thunder' to sudden crazy windy squall with lightning and shit, so I'm pretty sure that's it.

satellite trucks? why
Or at least that's the only likely explanation I'm reading.
Apprently it's even a hailstorm, lovely. At least those are usually over quick around here at least.
