I was pretty much useless as a highschool kid, being disfigured and all, so my social life was nil. But I got a letter about the 40yr reunion, and a note about all this stuff being on facebook. So, I made up a fake name and logged in to see what it was all about. I just had to look at a pic of the only girl I had a crush on for 4 years, and immediately that old country song, ":Thank God for unanswered prayer" by Clint Black came to mind. Remember watching that episode of 70's show where Donna is shown like in her 40's with Eric? This girl in the picture made Donna in that episode look like a Victoria Secret model. I can't believe you can look that bad after only 40 years. Oh well, God made me ugly back then for a reason.
Apparently some guy did some hand loaded .44 magnum bullets. Guy used the powder meant for 9mm and just filled that brass up. Which works out to about twice the recommended amount of powder. Good god.
Should have taken the perk for hand loads, those are way better at punching through enemy DT and really helps save you ammo in the long run.

No loss of fingers or eye. Which pretty much is a life time of luck used up in a go. But here's another one:
When shooting a .40, don't load 9mm. If you do load 9mm and it doesn't go bang when you pull the trigger, don't do it again and cause the .40 after the 9mm to go off.

It happens. There are a couple of bullets that match up a little bit and sometimes you can mix and match. 9mm and .40 are close. What will happen is that sometimes the round squibs. Sometimes it goes off. When it goes off, the pressure that normally causes it to go really fast escapes around the bullet. So it goes pretty slowly. You can actually see the round, it's moving that slow. There are some other bullets that allow for some mixing and matching. .38spl can be fired out of a .357 magnum revolver. It generally won't cause a semi to cycle correctly. .223 can be fired out of a gun chambered for 5.56mm but not the other way around.

Yeah, our postal service is similarly diminished from the old standard of twice a day and the first time will be before you go to work. Now mail is delivered around noon, and you'd be a very lucky bunny to hear them knock before leaving a note telling you that your package is waiting for you to pick it up somewhere inconvenient.
Try living alone in an apartment building. No one home during the day + very small mailboxes = nothing ever gets to me.
I have all my amazon orders shipped to the parent's house now because the chucklefucks up at the main office for my apartment complex constantly forget to hold on to my deliveries, even though I have an agreement with them to do so. Instead they wind up sending the pacakges down to my apartment doorstep, which are promptly stolen. I've lost at least $150+ in items this way.
