The money's not going to be enough to retire on, but it's a good way to get your foot in the door as far as RPG writing goes.
It's amazing to me that the 'president' of a 'professional' company uses a Yahoo e-mail address for his business. They have a domain name. Surely they have webmail.

Star Wars fan, Battlestar crewman, Fantastic GM. Frequent lurker, occasional adventurer. Awesome android RPGs are made by my friends; check them out.
And I still use my Gmail account. For my friends, my family, teachers, and acquaintances. But for clients? Or recruiting new employees? yourname@yourbusiness.com It's just the professional standard. Even if you're not a big business, it helps create a better impression.

You should send them an e-mail and tell them if it bothers you so much. It's not really relevant here.
As far as money goes, they're upfront about it being a pittance in their thread on the M&M boards. Most people post their homebrew stuff on the 'net for free anyway and it's a way to share your ideas with a larger audience and get a little professional credit. I could see it leading to more work with Green Ronin and other RPG companies. I got hired as an M&M artist by posting the pieces I'd done for friends on their boards.

I have a domain name but still use my Hotmail account. Some people just stick with what they're used to. Ronin Arts isn't exactly big business.

:P
Still, be nice to add to the credentials.
