Heck, I had a really sweet idea for how they could work it into current continuity. Now that Batman is ever expanding his team with the new Batman Inc, it would be awesome for WW to take a second super-hero persona as part of the Bat-family. Put her in a dark, yet majestic costume. Something like Donna Troy's outfit, only with a cape and cowl.
Then she and Batman could have some sweet adventures together as they work to clean up Gotham (or anywhere else).
It would never happen but this actually sounds really cool. Course I did love all the will-they wont-they junk between them in DCAU stuff.
My opinion on the whole Superman/Wonder Woman rumors in general:

Man. I mean...
Look at him in that pic. That's the most 'not having fun at all' Batman I think I've ever seen. What is he holding? A bowl of fruit?
With them trying to put out a more unified "Iconic" image across the brand, wouldnt the fact that they have the Young Justice animated series out there be a relevant point to consider?
Putting a new Young Justice comic out with the same members as the show wouldnt be a bad thought. Just make it Bart and whoever ends up being Robin after all this.
I didn't like the Flashes new outfit at first because of the way Jim Lee drew it on the JLA cover with the ugly-looking bolt designs on the cowl, but the way that Manapul drew them made sense to me. I get it, they light up when he goes fast. I'm cool with that.
Didn't read all of the thread, but these new #1s seem like a good jumping on point for me since I've never really kept up with DC as much as Marvel. Is this a reasonable thought to have or will they still have older story arcs/plot points to consider? Or do we even know?

It seems like the characters with more complicated histories are getting reboots, like Hawkman, Firestorm, Mister Terrific and Wonder Woman (?). Other characters are getting updated looks, and a few retcons to make them younger and more relatable. We know that not all stories are getting rebooted, like Geoff John's current run on Green Lantern.

From the sound of it so far, although we don't really know, the writers and editors promise that this will be the greatest jumping-on point in decades. However, we also know that some books like Green Lantern ( and likely Batman) will be continuing old arcs/plot points, but will still find a way to introduce brand-new readers to the universe without them having to catch up.
And from the sound of things, some characters may be entirely restarted from nothing. I would wager a guess that the reason DC is saying not to call it a reboot is because a reboot implies you're restarting from some established point, while they are claiming that it's a brand new start entirely.

Man, Mr. Terrific doesn't even have a complicated backstory. Suicidal genuis is told about how another suicidal genius found meaning in life by becoming a superhero, so he becomes a superhero.
If the new Mr. Terrific got his Fairplay tats in jail, I'm gonna stab someone

That would be really, really bad.
Unless it's the tattooed man taking over the spot, somehow?
Eric Wallace is writing that, correct?
I know they said they don't want writers that are too cozy with a character, but they've already contradicted that even in some minor places.... Hmm...
A Young Justice comic would be awesome as long as it has Aqualad. And I like what they did with Superboy in that show too.
I gotta agree with the fine fellow who posted below you... I think Superboy is pretty shitty in that show. He's like an emo hulk full of teenage angst.
On the other hand, Aqualad is awesome! He's pretty much the only reason I watch the show. He's a perfect example of how this whole whacky DC spring cleaning could be a good thing.
I also vote on replacing Aquaman with the Brave and the Bold's Aquaman.

Know you're not an active DC reader, I have good and bad news for you.
The good news is that Aquaman will be a huge bad ass in the reboot, and the new Aqualad will be there.
The bad news is that they were actually both already rebooted/introduced in last year's Brightest Day, and they were actually the best part of that story, so the reboot is entirely unnecessary for them.
but we have no idea what the reboot entails for them
for all we know it could be essentially the same status quo as post-Brightest Day for Aquaman
stop assuming things
We know at the least this is a new jumping on point that will completely simplify and run down existing continuity in the first issue, while building new stories.
Brightest Day was a new jumping on point that was meant to completely simplify and run down existing continuity over 24 issues, while building new stories.
I am just pissed that no matter how they do this, Brightest Day is going to come off seeming pretty worthless after I bought every issue.

If DC didn't want rampant fan speculation, they would have released more information! We are doing what they want us to do, do you see?
Edit: I'm being partly serious here, by the way. Fan speculation is one way that a company can gauge how popular a planned or possible move or product might be for them, without actually having to say 'oh hey we are doing X' and then potentially having to backtrack. I wouldn't be surprised if at least some of the 'unsubstantiated rumours' are started by DC-related people in the first place.
Pretty excited about this. My favorite universe and heroes have always been the DC ones, but I haven't been buying a lot of DC comics because the storylines. This "clean slate" is worth a shot.
Especially, pleased to hear about same-day digital editions. I work ridiculous hours and my comic shop is not conveniently located, so being able to snag these (legitimately) digitally on the release date is a big selling point.
The complete Greg Capullo cover for the new Batman!
Professor Pyg hasn't been forgotten! Also it appears Riddler is sporting a new.... 'do.
Lol that hairdo is terrible. A question mark mowhawk? That SCREAMS 90's.
Whose the guy getting punched on the opposite side of the Riddler. I will say I'm thrilled the DC universe is getting a visual update though. One thing that always bothered the hell out of me was how corny everyone looked. Their looks just didn't age well or weren't updated every once in a while like many marvel characters.

The guy across from the Riddler is Professor Pyg, you know the villain that was recently in Morrisons Batman books, the guy with the pig face.
Teen Titans - Blue Beetle, Static, Starfire, Beast Boy, Raven, Tim or Dick (if he goes back to Nightwing, then Dick)
Young Justice - Team closer to the show, Aqualad, Miss Martian, Superboy, Kid Flash, Robin, maybe bring Cassie in here.
Basically brings BOTH of these teams as the entry point for fans of the animated shows (Teen Titans, Static Shock, Young Justice, and Brave and the Bold)
I don't like the cross-generational Teen Titans teams. I feel like having adults around screws up the dynamic and ensures that the stories predominantly focus on generic superhero adventures rather than character relationships and fun. Ideally, the book should be about junior heroes coming into their own without adult supervision.
So yeah, I'd chuck Beast Boy, Raven, and Starfire.

If Scott Lobdell is the TT writer, that would work because he wrote a really good Gen X. Then again, Brett Booth, and that picture from earlier in this thread I can't unsee.
Maybe they're playing with their words with the idea that they never met before, as in Ravager never teamed up with, uh, Mas y Menos or something.
Nightwing is alright, though I don't think his legs and arms should be ribbed for her pleasure.
Also, I think it's meant to be Tim. I don't think Jason Todd is ever going back to black hair and a domino mask, since that look was always too similar to Dick.
