You know what? My birthday is coming up early next month...I was going to buy Alice: Madness returns, but I might just have to put the money down for this.
Oh god, I don't even know if I'll be able to run it.
I think we all know which insane person would be more fun to play as.
Gary Busey? I'm hoping that he provides one of the voices for the Boss. Or at least has something to do with the game. Maybe some more Uncle Gary videos...a man can dream.
Man, that's sucks, Isy. I still see it in my store, so no idea why it's not in UK. Anywhere else it was removed?
Weirdly, Australian's still have it in there store. Most likely a blip but still annoying. Fired a tweet at the Lead Animator, since I don't know anyone else lol
So I just started playing this last night as a male Boss with Mr. Shefield's voice. I'm loving every miniute of it. However, for some reason I can't get in to the Impression's Clothing store on the northwest corner. There's no door icon for me to press and enter. Does the store unlock later, or is it just a glitch?
Sounds like a glitch. That specific door mover doesn't have a delayed unlock like others. Most stores have two entrances though. Maybe see if you can get in through the back for now? Also, take a pic of the door and I can confirm that a door should (or should not) be there.
Meh, Impressions has two stores, so if reloading doesn't solve it I'll just go to the other. Another question: do hoods unlock during story missions only, or can I go raid a stronghold and take another one? 'Cause I want me those revolvers bad.

Both story missions and strongholds usually unlock a territory. The specific territory it unlocks is a pre-defined reward for beating that particular mission/stronghold. The one exception I can think of off the top of my head is the "Blood on the Tires" Brotherhood mission where you don't get a territory reward for completing it.
It's especially comforting to know that Steve was the lead writer on the previous two games as well. The outstanding writing and characterization of characters is something that I've always loved about the series and I'm sure the tradition will be continued now in the new game.
Dev commentary by Steve Jaros on the SR3 CG Power trailer! Lots of interesting info!
That was a pretty awesome commentary for a pretty awesome trailer. I especially appreciated the bits where he just paused the video to comment on some minor detail. It shows that there was some love put into the thing.
Man. I get all excited because its up for preorder, then it says "will not unlock for 4 months, etc." Jesus christ. Really. Now i'm heartbroken for 4 more months.
CorriganX on Steam and just about everywhere else.
Any word on voice choices in SR3? I'm gonna miss my Brit.
If you're referring to that magazine quote that said that the cockney accent was not in, then that was debunked by Volition as a misquote. As of a few weeks ago they were still deciding on voice talent for the boss, and even asked for fan input. There's still a chance (and a pretty good one) that we'll get our beloved cockney accent back.

No official word yet though.
One of the Volition guys even sent out a tweet that was pretty much like "I don't know where all the rumors about Male Voice 1 not returning are coming from. Nothing's set in stone yet, nudge nudge". Volition still haven't cast the player voices yet, there's been plenty of fan outcry, and Volition really seem to take their fanbase to heart.
I wouldn't worry, long story short.

Volition: "We're getting ready to announce the SR3 voice cast, get ready for everybody's favourite character from The Nanny " ;-)
The only thing I'm worried about with this game is the jankiness of SR2's PC port. Any idea if we'll get a proper game this time around, or is that still unsure at this time? I'm absolutely interested in this, but would rather play it on PC provided its not just a shoddy port again.
Yeah, they've said a few times in several different sources that the PC port is going to be done in-house and is going to be great.
And, as I've mentioned before, the PC version of Red Faction: Armageddon was done by Volition as well. It turned out just fine so long as you didn't use DirectX 10/11 mode.

You know why the cockney is so damn cool? He's a fucking baron.
Even though SR2 is sitting in my Steam Pile of Shame, I am *so* tempted to pre-order The Third. Sigh...
It better only be in your pile of 'shame' because it's a bad port.
Nope. It's a "Pile of Shame" because all the games in there are unplayed. The frustration comes from the little voice inside my head screaming "No! Don't pre-order SRtheThird! You haven't even played SR2 yet!" while there's another voice screaming even more loudly "MANAPULT! OCTOPUS GUN!"

It's a pretty quick game if you just do the story missions, and none of them are as hair pullingly (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ as some of the later San Andreas or GTA 3 missions.

Ha ha!
CorriganX on Steam and just about everywhere else.
Co-Op, both players have mancannons, drive to specific locations and try to shoot eachother like that old Gorilla.bas DOS game.
... that's brilliant. Too bad there's no terrain destruction to dig a tunnel to the other person.

Suck on that, Nolan North.

I just dialed Shandi to bring out my nitro boosted Pheonix. Poor Ronin didn't make it half way through their loop.
