While the Saints Row 2 character creator is super detailed, it's extreme difficult to make non monstrous default faces. It even shows up on the NPCs, compare Aisha from SR1 to SR2.

    But she

    You

OH! Right. This is the third game coming up. Right. Sorry. Don't mind me. I forgot about the first one, there.

There are people out there who want to make normal looking characters? Huh.

Also, Aisha, and many of the main story npcs are not designed with the character creation slider like the player is, or like standard npcs that are put together with parts. They are actually textures on top of a predefined model. So, you could never get an exact copy of someone like Aisha or Gat by using the surgeon. There are no sliders at all.

Stupid fucking PS3 is all like, 'hey you used up all your save slots!', even though I still have 35Gb of space left on my HD.

So guess who's the dumbass that deleted 50+ hours of gameplay that had all the activities completed.....

Then again, all I had left to do was the missions and, pfft, you're not really missing much by not completing those.

I have to say, my first coop experience? Incredible. I thought the game was fun all these years in single player, holy shit. We encountered a really frustrating bug where after we unlocked my vehicle delivery, it doesn't show up in the homie list, and we STILL had a blast.

    Good times. Good times indeed.

Neat, EB manage to get his network sorted then? I still gotta check this out in coop, only reason I didn't before was poor performance from the PC. That and time, now we got a few more Brits in the group though it shouldn't be a problem anymore.

Hey, the missions give you a great chance to show off all those new abilities. There are some really good set pieces.

And yes, some of us do like non-monstrous characters. :D

Yeah, I just make the Boss look like different actors. I think the sheer absurdity of the plot, characters and comically over the top action movie badassery is enough without making a freakshow character.

I go for a grindhouse aesthetic, personally. Mexican swordfighting babes, blaxploitation heroines, the usual.

Also I would kill multiple men all around me without aiming my weapons for a gunkata style in SR3.

I think the same, though I do fiddle with the default guy a bit. I enjoy making him overweight with a rasta-dreads to start with until I bust Johnny out of jail, then hit up image as designed to change back to normal. Fits in with 'rebuilding' the Saints from the ground up.

I have my "canon" Boss in mind, basically the dude I made when I rented it on 360 when it first came out and played all the way through. I've messed around with abominations and hot chicks, but my current run is using who I think of when I think of the SR2 Boss.

Idol, there's a potential bug on the Julius mission, I think. When I played through it, the church shootout went fine, but when we got to the part with the car, my character immediately appeared behind it and then Julius got out and just stood there. Nothing I did would make him budge, so I finally just shot him and failed the mission. I started at the checkpoint of the car, but Julius was still just standing around outside of it. I could see the helicopters on my radar, so I headed towards them. They were flying around the museum area and engaged me when I got close. I was able to finish them off on foot there and completed the mission successfully, but I don't know what was up with Julius.

    Actually, I take it back.

There is really no reason to do the missions more then 3 times.

Argh, I'm so pumped for SR3. If SR3 turns out to be just SR2, just bigger and prettier, then it's automatically GOTY. When is SR3 coming out again?

The engine is buggy as hell and weird stuff like that will often happen. It's likely not a bug with the mission itself, but just a random glitch since nobody else has had that issue. If you replay it will probably be fine.

Yeah, I had Julius' path finding screw up a few times on that mission, same with Johnny breaking into the Pyrimid.

Solution? Satchel charge -> and a 40oz seems to work the kinks out of their brains.

I tested out the Ultor DLC missions in the Gentlemen of the Row beta, it was quite a pleasant surprise. Not having cutscenes for them is standard I assume.

I didn't see any, but it would certainly be nice down the road.

EDIT: Also, if you care about SR3's story I'd stay the fuck away from the official forums. A fairly big bomb just dropped due to a leaked spanish ad. It could be false, out of context, whatever, but it could also be exactly what it means to be. And it's pretty goddamn big.

A gameplay question for SR2. I just finished the Samedi mission where your reward is the General's Bulldog (it involved driving around the mall on ATVs), and at the end I didn't get a cutscene or anything. Was there supposed to be one?

Furthermore, was that the very last Samedi mission? There's still a few green neighborhoods on the map...

Ah yeah, not a very long cutscene but a pretty funny one.

Also, you shouldn't have been able to do that mission with Green neighborhoods still being on the map :?

Oh. There's still green on the map even though you've pretty much finished the samedi off?

You've got GOTR, I assume, right? If so, then that's the gang territories mod, which lets the gangs keep a few territories.

I got that glitch with the cutscene too. It should have still finished, and awarded you the mission rewards.
