oh my god i loaded up the first gameplay steam i saw and i saw mordin. i cant wait for this.

    also
who is the thing with mordin at the start of that stream? i havent watched it all yet because you know, I NEED TO KNOW NOW.

    Speculation, but:
Shepard said she's the last hope of the Krogan, so I'm betting it's a Krogan female who doesn't have/is immune to the Genophage, courtesy of the good doctor.

I am so fucking psyched about that mission.

Like, fuck fighting epic battles against reapers, the culmination of Mordin and Wrex's plotlines is where it's fucking at.

God, how different do you think the mission would be if neither of them were alive in your game?

Oh and the sound track, but after the ME2 digital CE sound track fiasco, I'm kind of burned on them. (for those not in the know, the "soundtrack" is like 1/2-1/3 of the songs on the actual soundtrack, and skips several of the best ones like Suicide Mission and The End Run, as I recall)

Edit: the plot thickens; shipping, handling, and an "import fee" to Canada is another $30+ and delivery is 6-10 days. I think I'm just going to call Amazon.ca and yell at them/politely ask them to list the bloody product in a timely fashion.

Casey Hudson said in the Earth gameplay trailer that ME 3 would be released on 360, PS3 and PC on 3/6/12.

I loved almost everything about MASS EFFECT MONDAY but I have one small concern...

I really hope Bioware doesn't make Ashley run around in a catsuit and heels. They did a good job of creating a believable female character that isn't all about in-your-face sex appeal -- a rarity in video games. I didn't think they would screw that up, but now I'm not so sure...

Stupid fucking catsuit! I really hope we can put her in some heavy armor. Ashley should not be running around dressed like Miranda, that does not fit her character.

Hey, is it just me, or does the planet in that video with the gatling gun seem like Rannoch, the Quarian homeworld? I mean, it's arid and has an orange sun, like how Legion described it in ME2, there's a geth base on it, Legion is there, and was able to get you onto a geth ship pretty fast, the Reaper actually looks like a geth reaper (flashlight eye thing, and it's body looks like a geth ship) and I think I heard in the video that the Quarian fleet was there (they might have said Turian, though-it was hard to tell)

    I'm pretty sure it is.

    Remember
Legion said he found a Geth ship just lying around. So it has to be an occupied Geth planet. Not to mention with Legion being their in the first place..

That was my hope as well. Perhaps the catsuit will be her casual Normandy clothes, and then on missions she can wear something more appropriate.

The Kinect voice commands seem utterly pointless, but a way to use the Kinect that might be cool is with the galaxy map.

Imagine manipulating it Minority report style, dragging, and expanding star clusters, and planets. It would be amusing at the very least.

She has flat soles in the trailer, but as for the suit, given that everyone else is in casual clothing except Vega due to the whole surprise attack thing, it might be that. Not that I'd really care otherwise, since I don't think they'll make her look like Miranda.

Although I have to point out that Ashley was introduced wearing pink.

Hey, Ashley's a Spectre now, she's above the law (and uniform regulations, I'd presume). Plus, considering most of your teammates have unique classes (Ashley and Kaidan are the only ones with identical talents as Shepard if you're Soldier or Sentinel), there's always the possibility that once Ashley and Kaidan became Spectres they changed classes or talents (Kaidan's now packing a giant gun instead of his pistol and is wearing heavier armor than what he had in ME1).

Then, of course, there's the fact that in the scene where you saw Ashley, Shepard himself wasn't wearing any heavy armor despite the Soldier class being standard for ME demos and trailers, so it looks like everyone got caught off-guard and didn't have time to suit up properly.

Also, considering Shepard can wear a casual hoodie, why can't Ashley have some casual clothing? It'd be a bit weird to think that she only has military fatigues, even as a Spectre.

A skimpy catsuit is entirely inkeeping with the 1980s b-movie sci fi visual design that they were going for with ME1.

In fact, some of the more rugged and grimy aspect of Mass Effect like Ashley's appearance were detracting from that.
