    where are the cryogenic freezers?

Tell me about it. This page claims among other things that we'll be getting a DLC package that sounds a little like Zaeed's for ME2...
...named 'The Prothean'. Guess he/she hit the freezer too in excitement over ME3's date.

    His name will be Cartman.

Well, I know I'm getting it because it has an art book. I'm a sucker for art books.

Also, N7 hoodie for Shepard as casual wear.

The tin will also include male and female Shepard...hmm...I wonder if they did update her face then...

I know why they chose, what they chose to show at E3. And what they've shown is awesome, but I'd like to see some dialogue heavy scenes, some more character interaction.

The one option they showed in the Earth video Shepard was acting like a person and not a robot like the other games.

    So good start

The scene with the kid was great. I hope there are a lot more of those.

Also, I too went holy shit at the ship explosion, and subsequent slide down the building.

Man...I know they said they didn't want to spoil a lot about ME3 at E3 this year...but I need more info.

And man, sometimes I wish they could demo a class other than Soldier, I swear it is the most boring one to watch. That takedown to neckstab move they have is pretty awesome though.

there was a point when a guy holding a shield came up, and Shepard just kept shooting at his shield over and over

I don't, I've seen enough to know it's going to be a game I'll want to buy. Sound combat mechanics from the second game, improved in this and hopefully all those decisions in the first two games mattering? That's all I wanted.

I think this is the first time that I've preordered a game that isn't coming out almost a year. Something that's limited and collectible that's also ME related is an instant buy for me. It's nice that the collectors edition is only $79 as opposed the usual $99 for most other collectors editions.

It doesn't last very long. I ended up beating him, but it took about nine tries. On casual. I'm not very good at this game.

Luckily we already know ME3 will be better than DA2 because the production values seen in the gameplay videos are higher than everything in DA2.

I've said it before, I'll say it again.

Mass Effect in general has a really high level of polish. I may disagree with this or that little quibble, but the games are always incredibly well put together. I am jazzed. JAZZED I say.

And it just seems to have more coherent design, because DA2 is a very confused game that had no idea what it wanted to do. While ME3 is the conclusion of a well thought out and focused trilogy of games.

Think of DLC companions this way. EA and the big publishers have basically declared total fucking warfare on Gamestop and used game retailers. And by using a simple carrot and stick method (by new, get companion. buy used, pay for companion) they can chip away at Gamestop and keep on making the monies.

And seriously, we got Zaeed and Kasumi from this model. Zaeed and Kasumi.

We even got Shale in DAO!

I got faith that the Mass Effect DLC companion will be of Zaeed quality. Fuck, it should just be Zaeed again!

Well, the main problem I see is tying a character to an SE edition. SE edition go fast...and I mean really fast.

Heck, the SE copy of ME2 I got off Amazon I ordered 2 months in advance and it was only 1 of the 5 copies they had left.

I will literally buy the collector's edition and then pay for the extra content separately

That would be kind of annoying though. Because you pay almost half the price of the SE difference and only get a small(although probably the biggest) part of the SE content.

That being said. I do remember how the Cerberus Network card was going to be SE only at first, so who knows.

    Yeah, this.

I'm hoping that any real content found in the special edition (by which I mean the character & adventure DLC) winds up being sold separately.

Or that those of us who've preordered already get some "signature edition" upgrade thing that includes some of that content.

I don't remember any of that surrounding the ME2 CE.

Already calling the extra character + mission as ME3's Cerberus Network equivalent and that they will be packed in with regular copies of the game too.
