Hey guys I am currently in the porcess of buying a new laptop. My budget is about $1400, I play games and do alot of drafting so I want a screen about 15 inches. Otherwise I want to to be fast and make things pretty.
I dont really want a Mac, but would consider one if someone makes good points. I have been mostly looking at HPs and dells. Any help would be awesome guys
I would reconsider the whole non-Mac thing personally. After going pretty much my entire life using Windows on my home systems, I finally decided to snag a macbook. I am actually quite pleased with it. The OSX is neat just to have a change for once.
You could score a reburb macbook pro for about that much, and toss windows on via boot camp as well, thus having the best of both worlds.
Of course, I'd check out other stuff out as well. Just wanted to point out that there were some good reasons to go with mac.
(wow, everyone in this thread is from Colorado. creepy.)

Arguably the best online forum there is for objective and detailed information regarding notebook purchases.
Read their FAQ sticky, copy/paste the questions with your answers, and see what recommendations come your way.

That is a very good laptop and probably one of the best gaming solutions you will find for that price.
