Apparently SC2 has completely taken over the entire spectator area. Like, all three stages are just full of people watching SC2.
We are the biggest game MLG has now so awesome.

Thank goodness. Most FPS games are just "and they're shooting the other guys, oh he got a nice shot! The other guy is dead. Oh he's trying to flank oh oops he got shot instead. Exciting game!"
Not that there isn't strategy in FPS games, it's just way more superficial and basic.

Eh, there is way more to it than that. I mean Halo is way more "mechanic/micro" intense than SC2 but there is still tons of strategy and teamwork involved. Its all about positioning and control.

Said it earlier in the other thread.
If your screen goes black unexpectedly, its ad-block blocking an advert.
I didn't get a chance to check out the Halo streams, what is the spectator POV? Do the spectators get an overview of the whole battlefield, or a "flying cam", or do they skip between player first person views?
Because if its the last one, that hinders appreciation of any grand strategy as all you see is a single player's view.

The problem isn't the gameplay, it's the absence of an observer camera + minimap. It's way too hard to get a sense of the gamespace only looking through player cameras. Imagine watching an entire football game only getting to see vision from the left guard, even when he was on the bench.
Edit: Dammit Dhal, I live in California, you shouldn't be able to post my point to the server before I do =P.

I feel the audience excitement gives away any sneaky moves. How soundproof are those booths?
They're soundproofed, the competitors have to wear sound cancelling headphones over their earbuds playing in game sounds and they have a stereo playing static in there with them. About as soundproof as it gets.

Ah ok, its something i always thought affected player decisions- guess they just have spider senses!

It was such a brilliant defense, but I do feel like MC was aided a bit by Losira making some pretty big mistakes with muta control and losing a LOT of mutas that way. That muta/ling style has seemed extremely strong throughout this tournament. Very close game.

yeah, he was aided a lot by losira's mistakes
still shows how excellent mc's crisis management is
MLG: Sorry for the delay: So many people wanted to wish Losira luck via Battlenet messages that it was causing some severe lag issues with the game client. Blizzard has supplied us random accounts for both players, and we should be ready to start Game 3 shortly.
why are people so stupid.

idk, I thought that was maybe the best game of the tourney but the audience doesn't seem to agree!
How did MC do that.
