Windws 7, Firefox (4.0.1), and clicks

Sometimes the clicks go through, and sometimes they don't. It happens no matter which button I click. It's not happening with the laptop's touchpad.

The mouse was working fine before moving to the new laptop. I would say it's hardware, but it only does this in Firefox.

Any ideas?

    It is possible you're accidentally moving the mouse a tiny bit when you click? That'll keep the click from being registered as a click.
