I dunno how you're dying so much in lane on GP, Priest. He has solid base stats (highest base health in the game at level 1), a cleanse + heal, and he benefits from starting with either regrowth pendant or double faerie charm. Unless you're bum-rushing the enemy tower, not dying on him is the easy part.
He's not very good at chasing down ranged people early, so you have to use the brush a lot until you get a philostone or two. After that it's smooth sailing since you can farm with impunity (getting +12 for each creep) and no one can burst or harass you down.
Guys what have I missed since around April 30th? I tried to play some today and it was just bad. One game I get stuck solo top as Morde while an awful Tryn tries to jungle and I have to take it in the butt from a Vayne and Alistar and the next game as Alistar I was on all fours again getting it from a Nidalee and Taric while Xin Zhao tried to jungle. Did I just get on some bad teams or did I somehow misplay by hugging the tower in the face of overwhelming odds?

Also, philostone GP is not even necessary. You can do fine going straight damage.

Like Nasus can take some and dish some out too, more in either direction depending on what you build on him
But Xin, don't mattuh, he's building tank and still killing everything
I haven't been seeing that many Xin's dominate for awhile. But then...I've learned to just not even bother engaging one in the lane unless it's overwhelming odds in my favor.
The utility and survivability of Alistar (CC pop up yo) with the damage output of an AD carry, now that's always fun. Of course Irelia is basically the same in that regard.
Had one of those hour plus games tonight. I'm beginning to realize that when a game goes past 30 minutes, it means both teams suck and it's just a battle to determine who'll get lucky enough to accidentally win. My team should not have won the game, we were terrible, but hey, I'll take it anyway.

Anyone got any Malphite tips? My farm is exceedingly low, and I'm finding it hard to be "Tanky." So far I've been going Doran's Ring, Merc Treads, Sunfire Cape, but it's taking quite a while to get that done. Sometimes I mix a HoG or Philo stone in early.

ap malphite
tons of cdr, tons of ap, squishy as hell, use your ult once and get annihilated
Its been a long time since I've played Malphite as well but here's some things that might help you figure our his item build
Max e first. Provides a ton of AoE damage that helps your farm mid-late game. Rely on auto attacks and Q for early game.
HP and armor items are what you should be stacking. HoG, sunfire was very nice on Malphite and should probably be his core build. For MR, consider stacking neg. cloaks before turning them in to abyssal scepters and FoN
To solve mana issues, try getting a philostone. Most of the time, a mana crystal is suffice for me to sustain mid game with the caveat of using utility masteries.

Every time I see a "Rumble is brokenly OP" post on the general forums I cringe, because maybe they've finally figured it out.

Learning to manage Rumble resources is pretty easy though, and much more preferable to mana in my eyes.
Spacing your usage out a few beats will ensure you can pretty much use whatever you want when you need it. When it's time to go FUCK IT, then you just hit everything and charge the enemy.
Bonus to you if you hit R and place it well.
His ultimate is pretty damned powerful, pretty short CD, and long range. It also costs nothing so long as you aren't overloading or in the dangerzone or whatever.
The tazer shot is the best slow in the game bar none (statistically I guess). Longest duration and highest percentage if used correctly.

He's not very good at chasing down ranged people early, so you have to use the brush a lot until you get a philostone or two. After that it's smooth sailing since you can farm with impunity (getting +12 for each creep) and no one can burst or harass you down.

I haven't been seeing that many Xin's dominate for awhile. But then...I've learned to just not even bother engaging one in the lane unless it's overwhelming odds in my favor.
The utility and survivability of Alistar (CC pop up yo) with the damage output of an AD carry, now that's always fun. Of course Irelia is basically the same in that regard.

Anyone got any Malphite tips? My farm is exceedingly low, and I'm finding it hard to be "Tanky." So far I've been going Doran's Ring, Merc Treads, Sunfire Cape, but it's taking quite a while to get that done. Sometimes I mix a HoG or Philo stone in early.

Max e first. Provides a ton of AoE damage that helps your farm mid-late game. Rely on auto attacks and Q for early game.
HP and armor items are what you should be stacking. HoG, sunfire was very nice on Malphite and should probably be his core build. For MR, consider stacking neg. cloaks before turning them in to abyssal scepters and FoN
To solve mana issues, try getting a philostone. Most of the time, a mana crystal is suffice for me to sustain mid game with the caveat of using utility masteries.

Yeah. Rumble is really broken now to the point where anyone playing him should not feel good about winning until he is fixed. It's pretty dumb.

I think the only reason I don't play Rumble right now is that he requires 5% more attention than I'm willing to put into this game at the moment.
Suffice to say: I like Mana. Mana is easy. If I have Mana, I can do shit. If I don't, I can't. Rumble/Garen/Renekton all those guys, I'm sure they're fun, but some days I don't want to dick around with resource systems. So far, that has been every single one of the last 180 days.

Spacing your usage out a few beats will ensure you can pretty much use whatever you want when you need it. When it's time to go FUCK IT, then you just hit everything and charge the enemy.

His ultimate is pretty damned powerful, pretty short CD, and long range. It also costs nothing so long as you aren't overloading or in the dangerzone or whatever.
The tazer shot is the best slow in the game bar none (statistically I guess). Longest duration and highest percentage if used correctly.
