Phreak does fine casting. I swear all I've seen this weekend are people bitching about something, its kind of annoying. No other young game company could put on a show like this one.
Well I can't do what he does, and its still entertaining to watch.
Its just that he goes off on talking about extra stuff. The problem is he controls the view of the game, it would be like a soccer game cutting to just a shot of the goal and explain how he could have stopped that last goal if he had been over to the left more... meanwhile there is a free-kick going on at the other side of the field.
But ya, what he does is just fine, hes got a ton of knowledge and thats part of what it takes to do these. Just if he could chill with so much theorycrafting.
Malz is winning games this weekend. He needs to be banned in the finals by someone because if hes not your going to see the team who gets him first win hands down.

I think they've done a pretty great job so far, as evidenced by their massive viewer population. And no event like this is going to go off without some hitches and problems, but I haven't been a big fan of Phreak's commentary. It's frankly pretty bad compared to how awesome the actual game play has been. He's nervous, he's talking waaaay too fast, and he's not leaving any room for his partner to get in, and he's missing action. I'd like it better if they did it like other real sports, straight man calling the action, color guy to fill in the gaps and dead time.
Phreak would make a good color guy, but only if he can reign it in a bit and slow down. I haven't seen anything today, but I would imagine the more he does it the better he'll get though.
I hope Janna builds 3xPD and Boots of Mobility so Shushei just goes flying all over the map.
Carry Janna will do though.
