So lemme get this straight: I've heard some conflicting information about online play with the Vita version; some say it's ad-hoc only, others say there's fully functional online. I'd pick up a Vita at some point for things like Gravity Rush, Ys Celceta and this, but I'm really hoping that DC Vita has online play. Can anyone clarify this matter?
EDIT: Elf Girl is still too damn cute.
It should be full fledged online as it is pretty much the same game on both systems.

I'm pleased, pleased to see this game is still happening. For no good reason I suspect August or so this year.
The new trailer is a delight. I just hope I haven't gone ahead and seen like half the bosses of the game now.
Sorceress actually looks pretty damn fun to play as - it's not all about the bod with her. Nice mix of spellcasting, charming enemies, and scooting around to avoid damage. Can't wait to see what tricks the others have!

Seriously, I am pretty turned off by that Sorceress trailer. I am feeling a little conflicted, like the rest of the game looks really great and I want to play it, but I don't think I can feel good about myself in encouraging Vanillaware to put this content in their game. I will probably skip it.

I'm more disturbed by the Fighter's proportions now, if any. Unless the joke is that he's this literal stick figure of a man inside that armor. Seriously, his head without the helmet is way too small, as is his waist when in it.

I don't know what I love more- that this is really looking to be a fully-fleshed out love letter to D&D Tower of Doom, or the fact that I know it's gonna be good because Vanillaware's head guy actually was part of the Capcom team that made Tower of Doom to begin with.
Preeeeeetty sure they made the Sorceress's design indefensible on purpose. I'd almost bet
she's actually not as she appears to be, and is, like, hundreds of years old, with this illusion on top.

My argument is that I don't care what you say, and I don't need to justify anything. If you don't want to play it, don't. There are plenty of other games out there for you to enjoy, but I plan to enjoy playing this one.
If you don't like it, don't buy it. Coming in the thread to say how you can't possibly own it or you'd hate yourself kind of just looks like you're trying to make other people in the thread feel like they should feel that way too, and by and large, I imagine the people in this thread are just here to talk about a game they think looks cool.

I hope the actual game-play is at least half as good as the combat in Guacamelee. I'm not expecting the metroidvania aspect but if the combat is as involved and varied as it looks in the trailer then I will be happy.

If you were tolerant of the game and the designs up until you saw the specific animations of the Sorceress, clearly the Amazon was not that much of a dealbreaker for you.

To be sure, I'm not in this for the character designs (although Kamitani's artstyle has always been a unique visual treat to me, and that animation!); I'm in this purely for the fact that it's an awesome-looking co-op RPG brawler with lots of great playstyles and action. The aesthetics are a nice bonus. I'm just taking the character designs as a byproduct. Come for the action, stay for the flair.
Looks like the fighter is a bit more complex than bash peoples faces in and focuses some on defense as well. Which mean the dwarf is gonna fucking rock...

I'm usually all about the casters or rogues in most games, so I'm probably going to play Sephiwizard for lack of a real rogue class(Elf is nice but she's an archer). But I'm waiting on a class video showcasing his abilities first.

I probably will wind up playing her regardless of appearance--I tend to play heavy melee characters in most most action/rpg type games.
Also, Vanillaware makes the best monsters and dragons.
