In any event, I'm totally interested in that Kid Icarusimatrix, and I hope it does well enough that they might finally consider making one for Zelda.

I got all excited from that little animated thing they did in the beginning. What was that?

Did Mr. Miyamoto just announce a second play-through and boss challenge mode for Skyward Sword? Awesome! #3DSconf2011

So it's gonna be slightly longer than Twilight Princess? I think my playtime the first time through that was about 40 hours.

I hope the second playthrough will have more changes than Wind Waker's.

And the Wii Zapper works with damn near everything.

Not a fair comparison of course, but "works with" doesn't mean that the games are built around it or anything.

EDIT: Its AA battery powered? What the hell?

    Yes.

Also, some people seem to think there was some teased hidden Smash Bros. footage at the end of the Kid Icarus trailer.

I don't even know what it will be used for in Revelations. I guess they'll be adding a RE5-style dual analog control scheme to make use of it, but even if I had the thing (and didn't think it was incredibly retarded), I would keep using the RE4 control scheme just like I did in RE5.

    Yeah....http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=444629

    *raises hand*

I still doubt that this revision is just a way to make the current 3DS systems capable of playing the games that'll come out with the 3DSrevision's enhanced controls in mind.
There's just no way they'll be able to fit a second joystick and two extra shoulder buttons on the 3DS without significantly increasing its size in an XL-esque fashion, which is out of the question if the revision is supposed to be the "standard" 3DS model, even if they waited a year or two.

Not even the PSV has two pair of shoulder buttons.

This is what everyone seems to be overlooking. No matter what the the next model is, this peripheral will always be needed because of those extra buttons. If they had any plans to make this standard, they wouldn't have added the extra buttons. This is basically what Sony tried to do with the PSP but with less stupidity. If you owned a PSP-2000 or later and had a PS3 with Resistance 2 playing, you could control Resistance PSP with the dualshock and use the added analog stick and extra buttons.

Am I right that Four Swords is only going to be available for a limited time? Until February?

I don't understand, anymore, why they're making it free (and limited). Before, I thought it was the fact that it's multiplayer-only and they didn't think it would have enough appeal to work as a paid title. But you can play this version by yourself, so that isn't true. Edit: My point being, free games are contrary to Iwata's previously stated ideals of free content being bad for the industry in the long run, whatever, so why give a title away for free that would sell at $5 or whatever?

And this limited nonsense doesn't make sense to me at all. It's the same with the Ambassador games. I understand that they want to reward early adopters, and all that, but it's really more like punishing late adopters. Buy a 3DS in March 2012? Too bad, you can't get any of these awesome games I got for free on mine no matter what you do or how much money you have.

Yes, the voices can be in Spanish. Don't know the difference whether it's Latin American Spanish or South American Spanish. I just know that when I switch my 3DS to Spanish, Slippy has a more masculine less-effeminate voice when he's speaking en español.

Also, to clarify, you French Canadians aren't left out either. It's has Canadian French voices too.

This guy has uploaded vids with the Paper Mario, Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem snippets.

Anyone able to find me footage for Four Swords (with no Skyward Sword spoilers plz!) and/or Mario 3D?

That Fire Emblem clip gives no particular indication of being realtime battles to me. Looks like the standard take turns to swing at each other fare. Just in zooty dynamic 3D and apparently with multiple attackers.

Not really; can multiplayer games work between DSi and 3DS? If so, then why not? Then you're set for whenever someone comes over and doesn't have one, but wants to play.

I'm a tad disappointed in what they showed of Super Mario 3D Land, if only because I was really hoping we'd see a new power-up.

Holy shit, that Tekken 3D trailer is amazing. Watching the gameplay video, I'm not so sure about the actual game, though. It looks like the stage is just a background like the early Tekken games.

Fire Emblem 3DS is scheduled for a release in Spring 2012 in Japan. It's based on a brand new world. Team attacks are a new mechanic. A world map and monsters are back as previously seen in Sacred Stones. Andriasang confirmed co-op play, but this is false. There is two-player wireless play, but details are as of yet unknown.

Not at all, considering I had bought 3 GBA's and link cables to go with Four Swords Adventures on the Gamecube. At least you already have the hardware, and the software is free! It would be silly not to frankly.

Oh also in the new Mario 3D Land video, Nintendo showed off that they are using the only possible way that 3D can be used to influence gameplay: a locked camera view with graphics that make it look like things are laid out one way, but in 3D you can see the difference.
