My Nord will be right at home, many a warhammer will be polished with Mer blood.
And also im not sure if its been mentioned but its confirmed that there is no mounted combat.
Also I hope that there is dismemberment, it doesnt look likely though.
After Mount and Blade? It's best Bethesda never tries mounted combat.
Because everyone will be all "Why does a Turkish game made by two people on a shoestring budget have better mounted combat then a multi-million dollar game made by hundreds of people?"
And it will get shit on.

I can count on one hand the number of games that let the player engage in mounted combat
Couldn't you hit people with weapons on horseback in Assassin's Creed 2? Or did it force you to dismount first
Not a big fan of level scaling but I suppose if the worst happens I can reload the game to before I explored a dungeon and forced it to be level 3 chipmunks for all time
That said, the Fallout 3 approach to level scaling was miles better than Oblivion's

Now that you mention it, you can but it's not something you ever need to do in the first 2, I can't speak for Brotherhood as I haven't played it yet

I'd be happy if they get more than four voice actors to do all the NPC voices
Here's what i wonder. Since left and mouse click correspond to using whatever's in your hands, am i going to have to make a left handed warrior in order to have left click be attack and right click be block? this game is going to break my brain!
I am assuming they will allow you to choose which hand you equip things in. Since attacking, blocking, etc, are linked to the item, hopefully you can shield & board in either handedness.
I would assume you could assign whatever key you want to each hand. So right hand left mouse button shouldn't be out of the question. Even if they don't put that option in, you can always use something like joy2key.
While it can be fine, I don't really get the point of it. There should be many parts of the game that are effectively off limits to you at the start of the game due to you being too weak and you should be able to casually fuck shit up in those starting areas when you've become much more powerful. It's a very effective way of showing that you're more powerful and are advancing as well as giving the player goals that aren't just, "complete this quest".
Absolutely. No-go areas can also really help immersion. In Morrowind they weaved it into the in-game story with the ghostfence and that was really effective. The first time I went in there I was a low level mage and on some stupid escort-quest. "W-why would you want to go in there lady? Everything is red and I can't see shit. Is... is that a corprus-beast? Fuck that! You are on your own!" Gameplay and story came together very nicely.
Thank you, Todd Howard, for making me salivate at the thought of a new Alchemy system.
I think I'm just gonna take a week off in November, that'll be the most prudent thing; otherwise, I'm just gonna be standing there, behind the bar, thinking about potions and ignoring customers.
something I noticed while replaying tribunal recently which was really neat
there was a crazy end-of-the-world style preacher in mournhold almalexia sent you to scout out
and his prophecy detailed how the power of the tribunal would fade (duh, the player in morrowind is kinda responsible for that) and how the barrier between tamriel and oblivion would disappear, allowing daedra to invade and pillage and conquer the countryside at will
makes me wonder if the plot to skyrim has already been foreshadowed in oblivion

time to start looking
and with that our co-op oblivion run turns into a Lorequest
i had a house in morrowind that i stole from some guy after murdering him and his friends and i just filled it with books.
See I just started my first ever "serious" Oblivion character
because this is my first time on the 360 and I've never finished the main questline so I'm doing it with this mage (also my first time playing a mage in oblivion)
I plan on buying a nice house somewhere and filling the whole thing with books and baubles

Dynasty Warriors and Mount and Blade
It would be nice if someone else gave it a shot

It's not the best, but it works.
I kind of like that there is no mounted combat. It'd be easy to add in, I think, but it could potentially break the game.
Then again... I really want to circle strafe a dragon with M&B horse archery now. Thanks, thread.
they have
there a lot more voices now

Also, probably, keybinds.

what do you mean from an aesthetic perspective?
but yeah, I'm assuming left click uses whatever is in your left hand
and right click uses whatever is in your right
or like etch said, you could probably reassign them

aesthetic perspective as in it'd look weird to me to have a left handed warrior, not that i expect your character to not be ambidextrous
basically just shooting the shit here about something i though about, don't actually expect it to be a problem

little early to be hitting the sauce, huh
it's not really a permanent choice
that's because you aren't real people
also, fuck yes alchemy
It's not a choice!
I'm imagining a comma here
so that the guy's friends just hated him and turned his house into a library alongside you
