    The creature's named Twink.

    And the show had a really really short theme song

    But it doesn't appear to be returning anytime soon. Strawberry Shortcake is still running on TV in a new 3D animated series. Jem just returned to TV again recently too, but as the original series and not a remake or update.

    Well, it was. I just checked on the official Rainbow Brite page at Hallmark and it appears they've since renamed him to Twinkle. And updated the character designs. Also made a few short flash animations. No idea how recent those are.

    I think the Comic That Didn't Happen was more over the top ridiculous than this one.

    Maybe it was the whip. I don't know.

    I'm saying this one could have used some more ridiculous.

    It is still amusing though.

    But it didn't have a whip. What it had was more exposed buttcheeks and implied spankings.

    It also had glasses, which Plum Pudding's updated design doesn't wear any more.
