It's one of those cases where when you're that far ahead you need to quit playing like it's a normal game and prep for the only thing that can possibly kill you. In a normal close fight you need that extra colossus or all the mins you can get for other units, but what is Huk going to do after being down 1 base and 20 workers. You gotta shift gears to safe mode.
Huk should have kept his zealot army in his main, and used Hold Position on 4 or so DT's to block his ramp from anything except the colloss. I mean he won anyway, but that would have solidified it had nani decided to base race.

I think the way this bracket was run was kind of silly. Giving Naniwa +1 game for coming from the winner's bracket doesn't seem like enough of an advantage. Forcing HuK to win two sets of best of five, or making it an extended series MLG style would have made way more sense.
Either way though, this has been a great couple of weeks for HuK. It also gives me a lot of confidence Naniwa will do well in the August GSL.

did nani know huk hadn't expanded?
he was way way ahead, enough he could have rolled him over if he knew there wasn't a second base
honest question, I wasn't really watching until the attack by huk

I think he had to know, he had obs out and about. If he didn't it's an even bigger blunder than not defending for the DTs. It's not like there is any way for Huk to hide it in that case. Fly an obs over and take a look.

his obs could more easily be sniped in that case, huk had one.

I'd have to rewatch to be sure

Also Naniwa has a DT problem.
There was only 2 cannons ever started and he just sniped them before they finished.
Edit @ Topia: defensive DTs would have run through his army so fast.
I thought there were 3 and I thought he didn't have time
amazing
DT's are fucking sick
one DT can kill a robo easily, single handedly, before an obs comes out
Well, it was working down that Robo almost as long as it was building.
Think you need at least 3 if you start hitting it right as it starts building the obs.
Yeah their dps is pretty gross in any event.

or maybe build the 2nd robo surrounded by other buildings or cannons =\
oh well
now to weep, and break some sc2 necks

He tried that second thing. The cannons were DPSed out and then the robo followed.

Naaa, he said he didn't care that he (MC) didn't win, and was glad that his friend won.

Simon how good is it to be rank 1 grandmaster. I bet it's pretty good.
that's way cooler but I thought it was pretty funny

Yeah, it was Don Frye v Takayama.
Not enough man in that entire apartment to match up to Don Frye. Also not nearly enough America!
I might lobby.... been more than 2 weeks since I've had sc2
>.<'
bring it!
