if we kill him (not happening) or get frustrated at an absolute lack of progress (completely possible) we might move up to grug but by the time we've done enough RK stuff to legitimately feel we've tried enough to stop there won't be enough time for trash + legit attempts on grugonim
or maybe me and monster are just dumb and don't know anything and we're doing grug
also archaic is back so we have another competent cleric healer for HK, which is really awesome since i am hella tired of the two worthwhile clerics being me and dac

we got TWO trash drops on the way to sicaron the other night
its pretty, and mostly balanced, and the game is constantly being improved with new raids and content. the road to 50 isn't very long at all, and once you get there you can start to be useful fairly soon. also, game is cheap.

also, we're on Gnarlewood now. ideally this will be our last server transfer ever, but it should be perfect for us
it's eastern time, pve, and not particularly big. small enough that we'll be a medium size fish on account of our 5-11 and level 17 guild, but there's at least one or two guilds there progressing through hk
i dunno i was sorta annoyed at moving again but this will obviate the many, many frustrations players other then myself had with derpstrike

ok how long does it take to get to max level and what class should i be
for the guild, warrior or cleric are needed currently, but i think warriors more so. how long to max level: depends. if you're playing a lot, you can probably hit 50 at 50-60 hours. In about a month, expect a bunch of +XP events to come out to celebrate the first birthday.
most of the journey to 50 is just "do quests in such and such zones". i strongly recommend jumping into the warfronts/warzones/pvp instance things when you get the chance, because in the early levels you'll literally get a level every 2-4 matches or so, provided you're winning.
also: glad for the PVE switch. i honestly don't care much about PVP/PVE, but when all i'm trying to do is grind inscribed stones in invasions, getting constantly killed is annoying as fuck. especially when you're on EI and spawn points are 2000 meters away from wherever you died

it takes approximately two weeks of farting to get there if you're a type of person who has played formulaic MMO's before
every class rocks and we don't have a shortage of anything, rift is literally make what you want because the soul system gives everyone some sort of valid, necessary purpose. just don't roll a cleric and steal may loots
also i dunno if this is still a thing but i have like a dozen potions that give you 100%bonus xp for 2 hours, and a couple that give you 50%. I don't remember where they came from but i bet they'd be helpful as shit to level up
in terms of sheer speed, clerics or rogues i think level the fastest. certain cleric specs just absolutely do not die and their whole thing is running in with a big hammer and smashing skulls to provide a constant tick of healing to the party / keep them alive burning down like ten mobs when soloing. it's p badass
also: cleric healing changes for 1.7 are all pretty great and i might have to make three 51 point specs before i can reach any decisions on what to do with myself post 1.7 because daayum. so here they are

Gathering of the Ancestors: New spell available at 38. Puts an absorb shield on up to 10 party or raid members within 35 meters. Applies a blocker that prevents being affected by it again for 20 seconds (this is a different blocker from the one applied by Ward of the Ancestors and the two don't block each other, but they don't stack). 30 second cooldown.
Asphodel's Purifier Crystal: 4 point bonus now reduces damage taken by 7% for 10 second. Now overwrites and cannot be overwritten by Protect the Flock.
Flash of the Phoenix: New spell available at 44 points. Resurrects with 50% health and mana. Usable in combat.
Sentinel
Healing Communion, Healing Benediction: Both now have a 20 meter radius.
Marked by the Light: Now has a 15 meter radius.
Life's Return: Now has a 5 minute cooldown.
Waterjet: Reduced its benefit from Spell Power.
Healing Showers, Orbs of the Tide: Both now have a 20 meter radius.
Healing Cataract: Now has a 25 meter radius and affects 10 party or raid members.
