Or, failing that, a fairly large image of the rewards/coins needed is behind the spoiler tag:
You get points for registering your games and filling out surveys. The game and watch collection is the best prize.
# Earn Coins for registering Nintendo products and completing surveys
# Redeem Coins for limited edition Rewards
# Earn a set amount of Coins each year to gain Gold and Platinum status
# Create a Family Account and invite members of your family to join
# Register your newly purchased Wii console or Nintendo DS on Club Nintendo and extend your warranty
I think you might get something for Gold or Platinum status.
Registering a Wii game nets you 50 coins, a DS game gets you 30 coins, and Virtual Console/WiiWare games get you 10 coins. You can also earn 10 coins for saying you plan to buy a game and following through with the purchase, 10 coints for taking a survey about a registered game, and another 10 coins for a "Post Play" survey 4-6 weeks after that. Oh, and the Gold and Platinum statuses from the Japanese Club Nintendo are in the US version too. Anyone who earns 600 coins in a Club Nintendo year (July 1 - June 30) gets Platinum status and a free gift, while 300 coins gets you Gold status and a free gift (probably not as good as the Platinum gift, though).
If any of this needs to be corrected, please, let me know.

Wait, will coins expire at the end of the month, even if you just got them today?
In the case of the Mario figurine, cool as it is, I can sort of agree with you there.
On the other hand, there is far from an abundance of Kid Icarus merchandise-- if any. So something like that, I'd be more open to.
Anyway, dialed up Nintendo about the CD... seems they've heard plenty about it today. So one more name to the list to be passed to admins. Will they actually call back? I have a feeling the numbers may say "no," unless they use an autodialer and pre-recorded message.
Still, as long as they make things right, I'm okay. But strangely, one person on Facebook said they called and that they now have it ordered. Was he just an early caller, or did he misunderstand what Nintendo was saying?

No, I had a bunch of coins I earned in 2008 that expire this year. If you go in your coin-transaction history in your Club Nintendo account, it'll tell you when your coins expire. Like for example, if you registered stuff this year, those coins you earned expire in (I think) 2014. It doesn't matter which coins from whatever year.
In my case, I had earned around 990 coins back in 2008, and unless I spent 990 coins out of my currently accumulated total of 2,200 coins, 900 coins would be subtracted from my account after the end of this month (when the club year ends) without ever getting to spend them. Sorta like vacation hours. Use 'em or lose 'em.
I'm down to roughly 1,000 coins now and I'll start registering/doing more surveys again starting next month so whatever coins I earn will go towards next year's Platinum total (I reached Platinum for this year a long time ago...).
No. The coins expiring at the end of this month are the ones from the very first year of Club Nintendo America. Everyone who has coins expiring got a heads up a while ago and as recently as a few weeks ago.
Steam: pazython
It said a screen was supposed to pop up about the offer but no such thing appeared.

Oh, and I got results after firing off a message on Nintendo's forum; the Zelda soundtrack is coming my way!

It worked for me!

Also, the OoT3D survey was the first one I recall asking extremely specific questions regarding features of the game and previous history with Ocarina specifically. Hopefully this means they can start using the surveys to find specific fan concerns instead of gathering demographic information like they've been doing.
Same thing happened with me this morning when I registered, put in two emails through the course of the day and no word back yet. I did see something about calling them later, but it is past business hours for that now I believe.
This is going to take awhile. I might have to do them in order of expiration as some on the second page are actually going bad within the next eight months or so.
Looks like it.

Grill off or something more expensive?
Also in case you guys haven't looked in a while, the reversable pouches are back in stock as of a few weeks ago and my are they gorgeous. And huge! Old pictures from a few weeks ago, not resized either so they're big.
Might end up picking up the blue one later on, waiting to see if new stuff gets added to the store after the club nintendo year ends just in case.
Is it possible to link your 3DS' eShop account to your Club Nintendo account without actually registering the system? I've already hit platinum so I'd love to get the 160 coins for registering the system for next year, but at the same time I don't want to miss out on the coins I'd get for buying games on the eShop in the meantime.

When I was in your shoes I installed a macro plugin for Firefox to fill them out. I needed 3 or so macros as there are some form formatting differences of note.
猿も木から落ちる
Yep, I found about six variations.
First party Wii games from before 2009, First Party Wii games after 2009, First party VC games, Third Party VC games, DS games, 3DS games.
I just put on an audio book and plowed through it, giving honest answers and telling them at least thirty times to release FF III in the US.
Another year, another platinum. I have a gigantic stack of Wii and DS games I never did too; gonna pull all the cards on those and register after the season rolls over. I completely forgot that Wii games were worth 50 until I did a Radiant Dawn survey I had on tap for the last few years.
Just within reach I found:
Pokémon Platinum, Black, White
All three Laytons
Kirby Superstar DS
DQ IX, VI
Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon
Brawl, NSMB Wii, Galaxy 2, Sin and Punishment 2, DKCR, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Other M, and a DSi XL (I might be out of luck on this one because I don't think I have the box anymore.)
Didn't they release Final Fantasy III in the US for NDS? I specifically recall hating it.
猿も木から落ちる
The US release of the SNES game, Final Fantasy VI is called III. It's out in Europe and Japan, but not america on the Wii's Virtual Console. It's becoming annoying.
The Messanger Bag w/ the Starman on it? Yeah it's pretty boss. I'm not sure I'd want to, you know, go out in public carrying it, but it's pretty nice otherwise
Oh, and yay for them fixing the Zelda Soundtrack thingy! :P Too bad I couldn't wait until July 1st to register like I wanted to tho *sigh* I'm seriously 140 coins over now. WTF....
Holy crap I never registered my Wii. I easily have enough points for at least next year with two consoles to register.
Oh, I don't have that one but I've heard from a few people it's really shitty - really cheap material and stuff.
You only get the Platinum gift.
Or did I have until Monday began?
Or if they finally put something up on the rewards I want to blow a stack o' coins on.
I'm kind of leery of those actually. They might decide one day to take them all down and just say "look guys, we really don't care what you thought about Wii Play, a couple years into the WiiU now."
I've been gradually working those out of the system starting with the earliest-expiring ones, but at the same time I want to hold off a bit now that I know new games expire more quickly. With Mario Kart, Paper Mario, Luigi's Mansion 2, new 3DS Mario, Star Fox, Kid Icarus...heck, probably even the WiiU...I'm probably sure to hit 600 coins in the next year without doing any old surveys at all.
