Child's Play and Geeks Who Drink is teaming up to do a charity pub quiz this Wednesday at The Ballard Loft (5105 Ballard Ave NW) in Seattle at 8pm. I talked to Lewie P's Stepdad and even though he MAY hate children, he thought it would be cool for me to post this notice.
It's about a 2 hour quiz, $5 per person, with the top team taking home 20% of the pot. The rest goes to Child's Play. Additionally, we have a number of other donated prizes pledged from the bar itself, Black Star Brewing Company, Wizards of the Coast, Paizo Publishing, Royal Archivist Publishing, Starbucks, Microsoft, and the Experience Music Project/Sci Fi Museum of Seattle.
This quiz is shaping up to be a massive multimedia geek showcase. How tight is your nerd cred? Come compete for a good cause and find out if it is you who stands atop a pile of would-be heroes clutching Frostmourne triumphantly (NOTE: no magical blades will be dispensed as a prize, this is metaphor)
Got my hands on Paizo's donation for prizes for trivia night tonight: 5 Core Rulebooks for Pathfinder! Now, how can I read this entire thing before I have to give them away?
Oh gosh, I HOPE SO. Quizmaster and Love rarely walk hand-in-hand

This is Grant. I guest hosted one round up at the Loft a few weeks ago.
I've been meaning to start showing up at the Frontier Room and possibly other venues on a regular basis, but life has been crazy right now.
Matt (director of operations type guy) had let me know a while ago that the venue in Kent they were looking into ended up not going through right away, but they're hoping to get there eventually. I'm still interested in hosting that if it goes through.

And since you've already got a deal going with The Ram in Tacoma, that could possibly be a good foot in the door?
Side note: My initials are GWD.
I've been doing Geeks Who Drink trivia in Austin for the last year or so. Last week my team got 1st!
