I am looking for a decent slot-loading SATA DVD-Read/Write drive. I have unintentionally destroyed far too many really nice tray-based drives, including an "golden-age" Plextor that would otherwise have still been with me today. This tendency and the door on my PC's case makes a slot-loader much more practical for me.
I searched the web for "optical drive review" and all this really revealed is that I'm so out of touch with hardware reviews that I have no idea whom to trust. Any suggestions on where to do my own research, or on drives themselves?
