Nah accidents wouldn't be the right idea.

I'm writing about the overall benefits of the one child policy in China and accident doesn't really fit given the culture's view on lots of kids.

I don't think you quite grasp the Chinese view of babies before the policy.

There were no accidents or unforeseen births. If you weren't trying to make babies, especially boys, you were failing everything everywhere forever.

If a word takes on a slurred connotation is it forever tainted

Is there a statute of limitations on word use

Does a word become adopted by a particular group and only used in that group

Can I punch someone for forming words in my head I don't want to think because they find ways to sneak around actually saying them

just look at what the french paper puts in its citations, I guess

papers that cover such a broad topic are often just a collated set of viewpoints from other sources (which might be in English)

Topic is confusing for me though; when one says "economic effects" one typically refers to macroeconomic impacts, so that leads to stuff like demographic-change-induced effects on the savings rate, investment rate, etc. There may be other things that are altered via essentially economic mechanisms e.g., gender-related industrial activity or marriage market economics but these are not typically included under the broad umbrella of economic effects. I guess?

But then environmental effects would imply a more microeconomic sort of analysis. hm. Demographic and geographical population movement, changes in individual lifetime earning/wealth profile, changes in income distribution, changes due to inconsistent enforcement of the 1CP, etc., and then secondary effects on the environment? Or something?
