Yorick is fun mid/late game once you get some items on him. Early game he just kind of walks around and some ghouls appear and then disappear.
The thing that disappoints me is that they make champs like this, who are nearly worthless until itemized, but then there are champs like Annie and Jarvan who can destroy someone with almost no items. Some times Annie can just blow someone up in just a couple seconds with little to no AP and at no danger to herself.
But (alas), poor Yorick can barely make people notice their hp bar move, but he's a lot more fun and interesting.
You keep putting him on a pedestal and Udyr will be the new flavor of the month. :P
Honestly, if I thought I could keep him from being FOTM by not posting this here I would not have done so. I'm convinced the marginal effect of my posts here will be fairly minimal.
Someone is going to get owned as fuck, likely on a stream, and post to the General Forums, and the crying / FOTM spamming will begin, in my estimation. Or, perhaps, he'll sneak by for months, but I doubt it.
I bought him a long time ago and I will be attempting mad jungling with your build. Most of my current runes are still what I bought for jungle udyr.
Three and a half hour queue time currently. I should probably not have logged out for lunch.
Pretty happy with Gangplank and Kayle changes, as I probably played those most after Alistar.
Edit: Kayle changes were stealth fixed in the patch, so that her passive is lower, Q costs less and does more, W has a longer cooldown, higher base heal and cost but lower AP ratio. E does considerably more +magic damage, lower cost and 17 second cooldown at all ranks.
Won another ranked game playing as Taric. We had a competent Shen along with a suicidal Katarina and Yi with a Tristana who didn't know how to position herself away from Orianna's stupid ball.
I had like, 24 assists at the end. Bought like 14 wards total. That shouldn't happen on your support who's making jack shit for farming but in the end we won so whatevers.
i think pheonix is only good for a sustained route, it isn't that great for blue start. tiger still pwnz. his ganks are just too easy to avoid if people pay attention.
WW has become my go to jungler, i like being able to take out a carry for 2 sec, provided my team helps.
well from the chat in this pregame lobby, id say theres a 60 percent chance i report my entire team
Gotta love those. Such a wonderful sinking feeling because you know exactly what's in store for you.
Just finished a game where two people with very broken english spent 90% of it yelling at each other. So frustrating, but at the same time, watching two people who are obviously unravelling and super pissed at each other, but not knowing how to communicate it is oddly entertaining!

Guardsman Bob: "The reason the champion spotlight for Yorick hasn't come out yet is because phreak hasn't won a game on him yet."
At this point I think its an actual possibility. Either that or they are working on buffs and phreak will use the updated version to make him look better. You have to admit though , he has some rocking skins.

I still like Yorick enough to overlook his sucking and just pick him every game.
If you're laning against someone you can reasonably melee, rush a sheen and level up Q/E with a point in W to catch up. If it's a range harass rush a tear and level up E/Q. He can outheal ALOT of harass especially if it's 1v1.
My best game tonight I went crystal + pots, sheen + boots, tear, merc treads + Best Friend Sword, Bloodthirster + Manamune. If the game continued I probably would have added on Randuins and Banshees
Hahahaha. Okay I just had the best game OF ALL TIME.
Starts out with me saying that I (Rumble) should lane without Soraka because someone else would make better use of her mana generation...
Urgot: That's okay, soraka come with me. I'll be able to spam constantly.
Soraka: You'll be spamgot! We'll be unstoppable.
Rammus: Better keep up, we'll get first blood against sheblanc. (shen leblanc lane)
That's right, portmanteaus everywhere. Kat didn't ask for help on blue, nono, she wanted fulfill the lifelong dream of becoming a bluerina. Urgot became sadgot when he let soraka die, and soraka became sadgoat when she let me die. Then katarammus managed to hold them off at mid while team goatgot came back helped ace the enemy. Team goatgot, aka urgoat, aka urgoka, aka sorgot, aka gotgoat?, aka sadgo(a)t. Yes all of these were used in game.
There was constant typing going on. I spent probably a full 3rd of the game tying, and I wasn't the one speaking the most. Somehow, someway everybody not only understood the gibberish coming out of our mouths, but worked together like a perfectly oiled machine. I was actually a little happy when the enemy decided not to surrender at 20 minutes (despite being, like 10 kills and 6 towers to 0 behind). Although they gave up five minutes later when facesmashed them with a headlong chase all the way from blue to their inhibitors, acing them because of that aforementioned well-oiled-machine coordination.

Edit: I am loving Warwick, jungled for the first time and I actually did pretty good, I didn't gank enough but it worked out and we won. Second time playing Warwick since like last year and I won both times. Helped that both of my teams were nice and didn't get pissy for the smallest errors (also helped I had positive k/d/a ratios both games and was actually helpful)
I think I might get him next time I have the IP.

I've played Udyr enough to know the basics of jungle, but I have no idea what you're supposed to be doing in teamfights.
Just chilling with bear/turtle, bearing people? Bear two melee, then go turtle, then phoenix, then tiger, then back to bear? Swap between bear/turtle?
Or is it like grab onto one person, and repeat bear, tiger, phoenix, turtle until they die?
I've seen him on streams be effective, but it's like it eludes me in teamfights and I start just rotating my stances like I'm Sona.
Ideally you want to charge their carry and punch them until they die. I was going to give a generality but I'll just recount my last game.
Enemy team had WW / Veigar / Ezreal / Renekton / someone I forgot. I quite wanted to crush the daylights out of Ezreal or Veigar before they did serious damage but to charge them directly is suicidal with WW's ult up. So I stayed near my carry with bear stance on and waited for WW to ult a squishy, and then immediately stunned him. I'd then throw a stun on another melee and then charge at Ezreal or Veigar with Turtle Stance up and start to punch them good. This would often force Renekton to turn around and start smacking me. As soon as I see their team begin to focus me I would Turtle > Bear the hell out, then run back in a few seconds later to Bear > Tiger again. It's pretty much CC'ing the assassins or beating up the carries while mitigating as much damage as possible and running away if more than 3 people target you.
Auto-attacking after grab and no more droppables being grabbable = Blitz is pretty much the best char in the game. Also being able to see who dies to Feast makes Cho'gath roughly as best at everything. So basically what I'm saying is that if you don't play Blitz or Cho you're not very good at anything.
So I don't post much here but Yorick seems weak at first. Don't be fooled. He's like Jax. He seems like a weak champ then suddenly at level 3 he drops your health bar incredibly quick. He's a scary champ when played well. Like Jax he's better off with flat AD runes than armor pen or magic pen or whatever else. I have a runepage from when I was playing Jax of entirely flat AD runes. Thats +22 AD at level 1 plus masteries thats 25 and with Dorans blade I have +35 AD at level one. Here is a little secret you may not have noticed with him. His abilities all have a 1:1 AD ratio except W which is .8. What's that mean? Using all 3 of your abilities at once when you hit level 3 will annihilate someone. Yorick much like Jax is one of the best pre-level 6 fighters in the game. Try my setup out and tell me what you think.

Feel free to substitute ArPen for Flat AD.
Go 0/21/9. Start long sword + 1 HP pot. Start a blue, go the normal route. You'll be done with high HP / mana <4:00. Grab QEQW for your first skills.

Sad day.
I just started a bot game in the hopes of trying out jungleplank. I pick GP first. FIRST. Called jungle, got smite, locked in.
No one complained. Last person to pick was a WW and he didn't take smite.
I asked if he was going lanewick, no response. We get in game, he literally walks RIGHT to wolves.
He then proceeds to ignore me when I ask what he's doing, kills wolves next to me then dies @ wraiths when I'm forced to hold top lane.
I love lol.
