So EU3 is pretty much crack for history-lovers. I really wish games like this would have alarm clocks in them ala Civ4. As silly as that feature might have been, it allowed me to play for a set amount of time without having to worry about the time.

I just.. set an alarm, on a clock.. or a phone.. or a desktop gadget.

Between EU3, Vicky 2, and Mount and Blade I have like 300-350 hours of play time.
Damn you Paradox Interactive and your addictive sand box games!

You haven't played Vicky2 & Mount and Blade at all then? O_o
I'm going to try something, which may backfire on me. If someone has ever sent you a game as a gift or you won it in a contest, send me their forum name as a PM and I'll compile them into a list of "Classiest Gents" in the OP.
For the record, I know Maddoc and Figgy have held contests recently, so you don't have to send me their names.
Edit: Also, if you sent someone something and dont see your name when it's published, let me know as well.
You can play magicka in SP but it isn;t recommended, half the fun is killing each other by accident. I have yet to complete my magicka campaign
"Accident," he says. That's a good one.
It seems we have to cross this body of water. I froze the first bit, you go first. Oh no! I seem to have accidentally melted the ice while you were walking on it. I'm so sorry...MwahahaHAHAHAHA!
If the summer sale happens this week, I should be immune. I'm buying a car!
That grants immunity... right?
Listen, and understand! The summer sale is out there! It can't be bargained with! It can't be reasoned with! It doesn't know mortgages, car payments, or loans! And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you serve the Newell!
Sorry for the delay! I went straight to bed after getting home from my mother-in-law's last night. Here are the results!
Magicka: TheCanMan
Super Meat Boy: Professor Snugglesworth
Portal: No one!
Monday Night Combat: heenato and RandomHajile
Time Gentlemen, Please! and Ben There, Dan That: skutskut
EU III Chronicles: Alegis
Sadly, no one seemed to want Portal, except for those who thought it was Portal 2 or Assassin's Creed. If anyone does want Portal, speak up! I have over 100 people on my friends list and I think two don't have it.
Congrats, winners!
Once again, let it be known throughout the lands that Figgy is a gentleman of the classiest caliber.

A good way I found to find a list of people who sent you things is to (assuming you have gmail or something that works the same) is to just search 'Steam' in your email folder. Filter that or look for 'You recieved Gift from...', it will have the steam name of the person in there.
The Steam Users' Forums are currently undergoing maintenance and will be available again soon!
Hrmm
Hmmm?
I've long dreamt of this day, but it's even better than I could have imagined! The Steam forums obliterated, defenestrated, purged forever! So beautiful. :'-)
Wait, maintenance. Long word. Does this mean it's temporary?
Anyone got any intel on Imbomber Defense? Worth the buck?
I just tried the demo, it seems a bit on the generic side of tower defense games but still enjoyable; the demo is only one stage and there is no air units so it's kind of hard to tell how that will go.
Still, nice art and barely more than $1 I'm picking it up. It costs less than a pack of gum so...yeah.

I played the demo when I saw it was released. Its quite literally the same basic tower defense game that's been done 100s of time. If there is a twist to the gameplay they certainly didn't add it into the demo. If you're into Steam Cheevos it's prob a cheap easy way to get some. Other than that, there wasn't anything worth getting excited over with it.
You know, I immediately overlooked today's daily deal as another lost day, but the first sentence perked my interest.
Blue Toad Murder Files™: The Mysteries of Little Riddle is a one to four player co-operative episodic download game published by Relentless Software.
Co-op... Hmm... Might be something here after all. Demo installing.
Also, no midweek yet.
Blue Toad is basically a retarded version of Professor Layton with one person doing the voices (and he's not very good). Some of the puzzles are clever, actually. But once you've completed the handful of puzzles in the game, there is no reason to ever play it again.
The co-op means that the players rotate through the puzzles, so you actually get to do LESS puzzles as a player. There's no reason to play this co-op.

Yeah, once I saw local co-op, I figured it was a take turns kinda thing. Still, it's a game my GFs son would like, I'll prob still pick it up to send time with him.

Yeah, if you have kids or know kids who love Professor Layton-style puzzles, then Blue Toad is perfect for them. It's not horrible. It's just lacking in content, and it really isn't for the type of gamer that browses these forums (i.e. plays more than 5 hours of video games per week).
Well atleast no Mid-Week sale yet sorta bodes well for a potential sale. Considering my hopeless addiction to The Wire games have taken a back seat recently anyways so no sale may be kind of a good thing I guess.
Not really.
And beaten with the same point whilst I was typing.

My faith is... well, fading.
Meanwhile, GamersGate are looking increasingly attractive with good prices on Crysis 2, Garshasp, AssBro, and even the very recent F3ar... Hmm.

The most fun to be had with tower defense right now is starcraft 2 surprisingly. Seriously, every odd week someone brings out another TD mod for it and most of them are really good. I spend way more time playing TD mods than I do actual starcraft. :P
I own the XBLA version, was working to finishing all the bonus levels, but I've always been curious about the PC version's content; I wonder how many custom levels are floating around by now.
Wait...if there's no midweek madness...that means...The sale is starting soon. I hope.
There is supposedly a Mid-Week madness.
Word on the street (GAF/Dev Twitter) that it's going to be Hydrophobia for $3.
Why you gotta be smashin' my hopes?
If the sale was going to begin today, it would have happened at 1pm est. They don't mess around with the seasonal sales. I'm sure they are prepared weeks in advance considering all the marketing material they produce (like the banners and such.)
At this point, I would anticipate it starting Friday and continuing through next week. Of course, that's assuming they stick to doing the summer seasonal sale. I have to wonder if its success is anywhere close to the Xmas sale, considering how many people travel and spend time outdoors about this time.

Just noticed that myself. I'd totally have bought "generic tower defense game ____" for a buck, but can't as easily justify it for $5.
From the developers Twitter supposedly (not live on Steam yet)
