Actually no, I just came here to express how annoyed I am that this company can make a game so devoid of any sort of entertainment whatsoever and stay in business, while it seems that every other day another game company goes bankrupt. And this company has made like, 40 of these damn games! The only way the existence of Street Cleaning Simulator makes any sense to me is if this company turns out to be a front for a major money laundering operation.

To be fair, I'll bet these games sell really well to those departments.
I think the that someone is making actual training simulator games for mundane jobs is pretty cool, and an excelent use of the game medium. I'm sure civic governments all over the place are buying tons of copies of those games to make training thier personell much easier and enjoyable. As an up and coming bus driver, would you rather sit in a boring ass classroom for a few weeks, then do boring ass ride-alongs with some grumpy old bus driver to learn, or would you rather play a sim?
The fact theyre available to the public is also good for people looking for those kind of jobs. Having experience with a sim would certainly help out those without experience, and I'm sure looks pretty good on a resume. And just the fact that having a computer game as a valid training point on a resume stikes me as pretty damn cool.
I'm not gunna play them, I'm sure you aint gunna play them, Bacon, but they're still a great example of gamification and the good things that games can be applied to. In a few decades when they start using more educational games for schooling and other training, we'll be glad this sort of thing worked. Why listen to a boring ass science class lecture on how space works, when you can let kids play something like Universal Sandbox, and actually have them activly learn shit.

Can't think of anything really recent on PC that I have had a major jones for. There's Dragon Age II, but I haven't played that yet. First one was good though, as you already know.

Probably the former, honestly. At least then I'm being bored by an actual experience, rather than being bored by a simulation of a boring experience.
I've been thinking about picking up Burnout Paradise for PC but I'm still on the fence. Seems fun? I know you can't drive a street cleaner in it but that's only a minor fault. Come to think of it, Street Cleaning Racer would be a pretty epic multiplayer, clean your area before your friends or you're fired.
I hate working with you. I hate it when you give me a mountain of text and then chop out half because it's too long and you ruin the layout that I spent two hours making. I think very little of you.
So, I just logged into G+ and in the share area it has a little icon asking if I want to share recent pictures from my phone. I'm not sure if that's awesome or if I should be scared.

Yeah I got that too.
Was a little worried, but it all it does is prompt you if you want to use the picture on G+, it's not actually public until you click "share this".

I'm starting to come around to social networking.....I do like that people and companies I like can update me on all their things without having to visit 5 different websites.
Also Happy Birthday Godfather it has been 11 years since I was 23....apart from being terrified of girls and drinking lots of liquor to hide the fear, I remember very little of it.
SO I guess so far the winners are the Witcher and Deus Ex. (Got a lot of PM's in response)
Is FO: New Vegas that much different than FO3? Cuz FO3 to me was nothing but obliviguns... and I didn't like oblivion.
So, in the last month I've gone from 218 to 190. I'm sure some of you have seen my pictures on facebook, and they're from march last year, so I was like 240. I'll try to get some new pics up to show the change when I actually have a camera handy.
If I understand the issue with animated avatars correctly, what's happening is the forums are automatically upscaling your avatar, thus breaking the animation of it. If you re-upload at the proper new native size, it should work?
Posts
Or for a similar game but with more RPGness Fallout New Vegas.
Also I just got back from a float trip with the family. My relatives only almost died twice. It was great.
Also scary.
But mostly great.

(market flooding non-withstanding)
Let's see..
Bioshock, Fallout: New Vegas, Kotor 2, Vampire: The Masquerade-Bloodlines
If you can stomach to play Infinity Engine games still, add Planescape: Torment, and Fallout 1/2
And I have not played it, but many people are quite enamored by The Witcher 2.
I've been playing supreme commander 2 all day. Its nice to have a less tactical, more strategic RTS.
To be fair, I'll bet these games sell really well to those departments.
EDIT: Beat'd by Gibs.

Tam's posts are never going to be quite the same again without the animation.

I've seen people with animated avatars, but I don't know how they managed it.
I'm not really a fan of this white background either, but I gather a lot of people are unhappy with it. Hopefully it'll be changed.
Also, the forums are garish as shit. I want my soothing blue background and white text back.
Also, My hat doesn't seem to be moving anymore : /
Perhaps a re-upload will fix it?
Pretty soon DMAC will get possessed by the ghost of NASA...
EDIT: I LURV the new Jailed avatars!
Blink's aight.
Hmmm. Now that avatars are big enough to see I might have a search through my stash and ssee if I have one that fits.
(P.S. Thanks for the plugs, Kochi!)
ed: I guess the secret is not to use JPG. PNGs, ahoy.
A regular Jon Keats, you are! Minus the tuberculosis...
Also, I like the new forums!
but hey, at least I'm still having fun :P I did some fun (if potentially creepy) fan art for LoL. I can't find a damn image host X(
ALSO - My threadless tshirt is up for voting
