I hear the are remaking WarGames...

Shia LeBouf is gonna play Matthew Broderick's character isn't he? No wait Jesse Eisenberg.

    Selena Gomez as the girl.

I blame this not only on Hollywood being out of ideas but people being over nostalgic.

Oh god, Puma Man. Fuck, I'm gonna open that up in another tab and have it on in the background. Now I'm just laying here chuckling to myself as I remember various lines from it, before I even have searched it on youtube.

Oh my god, the part where he goes into the firetruck, and Mike just leans over to Servo and whispers "who is this guy?"

Oh man, and now as I watch it - "Hot bathysphere action!"

I think it's to some extent a vicious cycle. Part of it is definitely that the people old enough to make films now are nostalgic for the movies of their youth, which is normal, but also the fact that film is in a slump is causing people to look backward to better days.

I think Highlander should be rebooted and done anew, mostly because there was only ever one decent movie from the franchise. And that was the first. From like four movies and a TV series.

    I like Highlander, okay?

I hate questions/writing topics like this. I find it disgusting that our society puts such a great emphasis on "what you're doing with your life" as if, when you have no specific goals, no "traditional" accomplishments to boast about, that your life means less and that you are worth less as a person. Maybe I'm reading too much into that.

My eyes rolled, but then suddenly I wondered: does this mean I'm too old to date 25-year-olds? Because I'd probably have to listen to a lot of this kind of thing.

Goals aren't a society-oriented "traditional" thing. Goals can actually be anti-society and/or anti-tradition. Your entire deal in life could be unraveling norms. Your eye-rolling is justified and well placed here. I mean maybe this individual is anti-establishment or whatever but they are not wording it well.

I am 25, and that is dumb.
