I made a failed cannon rush, which is kind of all in. When it failed I cannoned myself in, rushed for void rays and won. This was my fourth protoss game.

Which league? I run into (much delayed) void ray "rushes" relatively often in Bronze and tend to find them hilarious.

Silver, I was gonna quit. But then I thought maybe this guy sucks. And then I won.
And some Zerg called me a "moron noob" for 4 gating him after he stole my gas, then expanded hatch before spawning pool. I mean, what the hell did he expect?

Yup. Anything below grandmasters, I would just play out the game until absolutely sure you lost. Failed All-ins can still win games, fumbled cheeses, and whatnot.

Word. The quality of players here is very up and down.

No offence but...I usually think people who do cannon rushes suck. Win, loose or draw.

No Protoss players were underpowered during this post.

4-gate doesn't punish hatch first in time to prevent it from being in every way superior to pool first.

I made a game! Hotline Maui. Requires mouse and keyboard.

if there's anything I learned while being forever trapped in gold, it's that if you telegraph a 4-gate to a hatch firsting zerg he'll have eleven spine crawlers or fifty speedlings or both by the time you show up and then you'll cry and reroll zerg like I'm planning to do.
edit: I also believe that gold-level 4-gating may in some way be the culprit

Yeah but this guy was an eedjit. By the time his pool finished Warpgate research was about half done, I had a stalker, a zealot, and a 2nd stalker on the way to his base. Remember: gold
Although I'm finally starting to face plat / diamond guys again! I think I may be on my way to being promoted back into plat.

Just a tip that will help you advance. Don't think of yourself as in gold. Think and play as if your opponent is competent. You don't want to base your play around assumptions that will eventually fade away. At the lower levels the entire game is about solid fundamentals. Play that works against good players works well against bad players too. Not that a 4 gate is a bad response against a gas steal, but don't assume things like their pools will be late when making your plans.

What I meant was, I had a probe scout alive the entire time. I knew what was going on and knew right up until I attacked that he had no units or static D.

It's kind of depressing how many times foreign pros float 1K+ minerals in major tournaments. The foreign scene quite obviously has a long, long way to go.

I ought to play tonight. been playing lots of mortal kombat and not enough starcraft, and I'm going away tomorrow for a week. I'll probably be posting a bit and maybe watching some stuff but I won't be playing.

worst thing about masters so far is that my rank has plummeted from not playing. in diamond it barely ever moved.
edit - the audio wasn't coming through for the start of it but I think I just saw a kingston commercial with incontrol (that much I know I saw) in the style of an ESPN commercial. I hope so. either way it made me laugh just seeing incontrol do anything.

Idra is such a damn goose. And bad commentator.
Special Tactics
If notice that I float minerals I just throw down fifty buildings at the same time, it is pretty neat.
Or like if I miss timing on building whatever I can waste a few chrono boosts, ain't nobody gone notice.

Ok that's just a level of extra sad on his part.

But Fenix/TT1 were a lot better in 2v2 overall.
not exactly sure what it's for. I guess masters cup?
idra casting a tvt makes me happy. he shouldn't have switched races, he'd have less to complain about (as if)
It's the ace match of the masters cup semi finals.
It's the ace match in a clan war. EGMC semi-finals, I think.
