It always makes me sad when my beloved Zerg lose to filthy space elves.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that sheth just dropped the ball there. Though I guess there's a lot to say for him not being able to see the whole map like we can.

Protoss are not, at all, space elves. They are space badasses.
sorry, they're only ancient, magical (psionics), and dying out.
so not like elves at all.

shit like this makes me feel like when a zerg drops the ball he dies no matter what and when a protoss or terran jack something up they're "behind"
Could a zerg player ever ever come back from a completely mined out 46 worker deficit?

I don't think a protoss player could come back from throwing away their entire army though. Unless it was super late game and they had like 20 gateways.

Sure.
If it was against Terran and the Zerg had infestors with fungal, and all the terran player made was marines and medivacs.
I was composing a rambling response but this is much more succinct, so ^.
I can't figure out why sheth dumped 1500 min/gas into mutas after that battle either, when squirtle's whole army was stalker/archon/ht and squirtle was just going to keep pushing while attempting to get a base up.

But no one would ever do that so are you saying Zerg players are retarded and would or agreeing with me?
EDIT: I just can't figure it out. I feel like I have to assume professional players would play in the way they think is optimal so going for Mutaling against HT Stalker Archon must mean they're all idiots. We get a few of these games during every major tournament FFS
I need to get back into this, once my new computer arrives next week. Before that, I had a choice between a computer that lagged horribly and a computer that didn't have working control keys and I didn't actually own. How's the custom game scene now, since that's pretty much all I'd be interested in?
I did try out an actual game at one point. I randomed Zerg against a Terran player, and managed to expand moderately effectively while blocking his expansions. I was about to build up for a big push into his base, when I realized that I wasn't having any fun whatsoever and conceded the game to him.

well, you might have more fun when you get out of your placement matches, especially the first game which is typically against a bronze leaguer. I certainly hope so, anyway.
july looking pretty good for his nasl live debut, imo
Every 2 matches is like a week of NASL season games. So, now we're in week 2, and the camera is centered, the casters don't sound as hollow. Things are looking up.

Just got home, yay for not experiencing finals through forum posts!
the washer must be in spin cycle now
PUMA VS RET
1. 2 Rax
2. Hellions and banshees do a lot of damage
SQUIRTLE VS SHETH
1. Mass Blink off of 2 bases
2. Sheth takes down all but 14 of Squirtles probes, all of his bases, half his production and is sitting 100 food up. Then FFs and Storms
At least we have some ZvZ coming up so we can get a zerg in the ro8. ALso, production has been weird, not consistently bad or good, just crazily inconsistent

Tunnel vision. Too much to think about in the middle of a game and when they are replacing their army they are usually doing it as a reaction/emergency. So remembering to tech switch is a hard thing to do.

The thing was, I was fairly sure I was winning. I was just enjoying myself so little that I decided that actually finishing the game wasn't worth it. If I was actually struggling I'm sure I'd have hated it even more, it was just that all of the macromanagement was getting to me.
I think I have a relatively decent grasp of the game in theory, but I'd much rather watch it than actually play it.
to throw in my own arbitrary production value complaint, nasl booths need better lighting if they're going to do player webcams. it sort of looks like they're playing starcraft in a cave.

I actually can totally sympathize. I got up to silver in season 1, stopped because I couldn't handle being so awful and spent a couple months just watching gsl and other tourneys. once I supposed that, by all odds, I'd gotten a little better simply by osmosis I came back, played season 2 and did indeed do a little better. what I learned was that sc2 is totally viable from a spectator position alone, which makes it pretty unique in the gaming world.

attacking down chokepoints against templar is always bad
but crossfire basically forces you to do so, so i don't know how much else he could have done
crossfire is a bad map for zerg basically
